Sin Diesel Growing Habbits?

I'm going to be giving this strain a try and I am curious what kind of growth characteristics it has. Is it bushy, columnar, etc. How much does it stretch and is it a light feeder?

I assume its going to be pretty stretchy and a relatively light feeder but I really don't know. Anyone have some info on this strain?

Not to much info on this strain. Havent seen any logs either. Should be killer, as to what to expect. Not sure. Love to see you grow it out and post up some pics since not much info on it.

Although I am a licensed medical grower I am still fearful of just how permanent everything posted to the net is and how volatile our political system is. Long story made short, I'm a bit too worried about some right wing nut job getting put in charge and going on a witch hunt to post photos but I'll definitely get back and post about how things go. (I was sooo sorely tempted to post pics of my last grow. I had an Orient Express with a cola literally thicker and longer than my arm. It was like a baseball bat.)

Sin Diesel is a cross between two of my all time favorite mainstream sativa dominant hybrids so it should be just what the doctor ordered. I hunt for the right effect but getting some yield and a short flowering period thrown in for free is always nice.

If anyone has some tips on this strain's grow preferences I would love to hear them. I'm going to treat it as a land race sativa hybrid with moderate feeding needs and go from there. I'll probably top 'em too unless they grow very columnarly.

I'll give this one last bump and hope somebody who has grown SD sees the thread. I have 6 beans soaking so my adventures with Sin Diesel are about to start. Should be a fun grow. My last one was all land race sativas which had a pretty sharp learning curve. Hopefully these will be a less demanding. Along side the Sin D I will have Nepelese Jam keeping them company.

Hey bro, Sin D is easy to run, wont be alot of variation at all.. Worked 50/50 down the middle of both parents, stretch isnt anything to stress about, figure about 2x or so.. Unlike the ECSD clone, The majority of that pack will be nice sturdy structured plants... Its a good yielder, good trich production, sweet sour candy type smell/taste...Pretty quick to flower @ 10 weeks...

In short, you will like what you end up with, and will definetly find a keeper or two... Im sure of it..

Thanks for the reply. Sounds good. Stretch is nothing I'm not used to. The main reason I ask is that my last grow had some pure 100% sativas in it and they were a bit finicky.

The soil I was using was great for the usual indica hybrids but it just about killed one of my pure tropical sativas. I'll just treat the Sin D like a normal sativa dominant hybrid.

Since there isn't much info on here about the strain I'll try to check back in and post the results. It should be some classic sativa fire.

6 of 6 on germination. Not a bad start.

I suppose I should update this since I promised to give some feedback and information once I had it.

My Sin Diesels are now in mid to late flower. The strain is very vigorous and grows quickly in veg but once you flip to 12/12 there is VERY little stretch considering that this is considered to be a sativa leaning strain.

I picked out the most branchy sativa leaning pheno as one of my keepers along with a more columnar indica structured plant. The sativa leaning pheno stretched maybe 25% after the flip and the indica stretched about 5% or 10%. I had scrogged both expecting the usual crazy sativa branching and stretch that I am used to but in hindsight it was a mistake that will probably hurt my yield, particularly on the indica pheno.

To others growing this strain I would advice against topping or training unless you have a very limited vertical vertical grow space. With no training my plants would have ended up well under 4ft tall with over a month of veg. The indica pheno would probably be under 3ft. I would also recommend a relatively long veg period similiar to that which you would give an indica rather than a sativa.

As far as the flowers go this is a very frosty strain that looks like it will be a medium yielder unless it radically fills out in the last few weeks of flower. The smaller yielding more indica structured pheno is the frostiest plant I have grown. Hopefully it smokes as good as it looks.

I'll check back in a few more weeks with the final results.

I just took down my indica structured pheno. It did fill out quite a bit and although there isn't a huge volume of bud the buds are very dense, resinous and heavy. It's hard to gauge how much the plant yielded just by eyeballing it but probably at least a couple oz. The bud has an awesome tropical fruit kind of smell. Something between mango and pineapple maybe.

I couldn't resist quick drying a couple of popcorn buds to give her a preliminary smoke test and I was really impressed. The effects are very clean and uplifting. I was worried that it would be a heavy knock down indica given how the plant grew but it has a very nice quality sativa head high that reminds me more of Cindy than Diesel. Excellent daytime smoke with no couch lock or burn out. I can't wait to see how this stuff turns out after a good cure.

All in all I am very happy with how this strain turned out. Quality genetics for sure.
