If you only have 7 hours and also to and from Denver, Hermans Lake trail is nice. Steep up and down and the lake is very scenic with large rock formations. It is a long hike with difficult parts. It gets busy during the weekend so during the week is better. It is probably snowed in yet so give it a couple weeks. It is West of Denver about 60 miles up I-70 to the last exit before you get to Eisenhour tunnel.
