Trying to filter my DG purchase
Hi all, I am going to be making a fairly large purchase from DG stock soon here.
I had a fairly large list of beans I was interested in but the halfprice sale really took alot of the strains off the table. So my question mainly pertains to DTC99, Xanadu, Killer Queen Redux, and Abyss 99. Questions being - 1. How many phenotypes are there in each of the strain? 2. What is male to female ratio 3. What are the germ rates roughly 4. About how many packs of each strain is it estimated I will need to hunt through to find a true gem? I am planning on some where near 5 packs of each strain (especially since we may never see these strains again) 5. Are any of these genetics finicky in the least? I generally run a fairly "hot" soil and follow pretty close to Revs TLO mix |

1. it would really depend on which DGS strain you were talking about, but you should expect a range of phenos from any pack of seeds from hybrids of these types. 2. all DGS seeds are normal non-feminized seeds, typically you will see a 50/50 split 3. keep in mind some of these seeds are approaching 4 years old so some additional care may be required to sprout them.i personally have been going through all my older DGS seeds and so far i have not had any significant trouble getting my seeds to germinate, others have reported more difficulty. 4.roll of the dice...i have found outstanding keepers in as few as 5 seeds... so far after im not even sure how many DGS strains i have grown, got to be close to 20 by now,i have never failed to find a keeper, most of the time i have multiple mothers out of a pack of DGS seeds. 5. for the most part all the DGS strains are fairly easy to grow in any system, some of the first release (the cindy99 crosses) are notorious cal/mag hogs, with any of the dtc99 crosses you just need head room as they all tend to get pretty large. |

If you were to have to narrow it down to the top 2 phenos from each strain, would you be able to describe their attributes that I should hunt down, things like...
Growth structure Bud structure Flowering time Aroma Taste Type of high Style of training best responded to Ease of clone Sterilization issues if they exist ex. males pollen is sterile How easy do they hermi As far as the DTC99 goes, does it put out any phenos that give you any form of a trippy high, or a long lasting clear headed euphoria? |

all that info will be in the strain guide, and look at the top of the DGS forum, theres pics of many of those strains to give you an idea what is available as far as range of phenos...
and yes,the dtc99 has trippy phenos aplenty.... |
