the Disco Ducks

aloha nui loa Wally, and all ya...while back I started some work with HWI..which led me to ck2 thru work of barefoot...then trickled down into Wally world..heh...
So Ive been messing with a line that involves allot of these guys just doin their thing..Im running it ow and will try and show full bloom pics soon..Ive been learning allot from the variety so far but would love to hear any impressions beyond the input from the quotes below..
outa the kindness of the herb we decided to work this line a bit and name it after the fellaz involved..
wally, bidferit, barefoot, ck2, the DiscoDucks....heh..

hey johnny....Im knockin some hybs out....their done...have plenty and sending some into the bay for the 420cup fund..
But if you guys want a few just ask...I was doin a open Ortega pollination so its a hybrid to the Kahili line noted below..
had some interesting growth traits to say the least..the diamond stalk being 1..
I had a rough go of the first set so this is start of set 2...hope I can keep um happy...enjoy

Barefoot / CK2 05/06/11
----------------------------------
Hey gang:

The Kahili is kinda a "mutt" I concocted here last Winter - so the real test on the "burnability" is yet to come this Fall. It came originally from a Webbed Hybrid (Ducksfoot x HWI) F2 attempt that went awry back in 2002 or so. Awry because the progeny didn't come up webbed - I suspect a nanner off some Maui Girl sativa females in the proximity did the number - but was just monstrous. Anyone remember "the webducks that ate the lab" in the GGE by bidferit from OG back then?

Anyway, fast forward to the Fall of 2009 and I try popping some of those old webduck beans and they came up! At the same time I had tried popping some old Webbed Hybrid F3 beans that produce a stout, webbed male. Crossed those 2 and ended up with a fairly decent webbed generation of webducks. So I get a beautiful webduck female last Summer with the textbook Ducksfoot "pink pistils" that I'm able to clone. I pop some G6 HWI beans - the last HWI seedstock that bid made in the GGE prior to departure - that give me the males to breed to the "webbed" webduck clone, and there you have the Kahili. Phew...made me tired just remembering all that, LOL...
Great work again, Barefoot!!
Aloha,
CK2

Hey Brother FOE:

The GGE (Garden of Good & Evil) was bidferit's GH on the other side of our rock...see pics...tailor-made for MJ growing at plus 3K elevation on the dry (leeward) side. Read: less humidity problems.

If you notice from the pics, it was designed with elevated beds, waist high. So all your work - pruning, ferting, etc.- was right in front of you and didn't require any bending over. It was a spiritual, magical place with beautiful views of the southern coastline. Bruddah bid relocated to the mainland a couple years back, so it now remains a happy memory.

As for Ducksfoot vs. HWI: Ducksfoot, out of OZ, is a 100% tropical sativa, and almost impossible to finish outdoors above 25 degrees north or south and a tough grow indoors. Spicy tasting, it had a very uplifting, happy kind of high to it. HWI - hawaiian webbed indica, as dubbed by wallyduck himself - was a hawaiian strain I bumped into as bagseed back in 1998 out of Puna. It was a "whack you on the head", couchy kind of high. Prolly the more potent and stinkier of the 2, I still have pure seedstock of HWI, although we almost lost it back in 2003, were it not for selfing our last male. Hope that helps, FOE.
Aloha,
CK2
p.s. - the right pic is of another 3-way webbed variant, the Kahuku - (Molokai Frost x Strawberry Web from Hana, Maui) x HWI

hey foe,
disco ducks hey , hahahahhaha i love it man ...

i loved the Hawaiin webbed indica ,
that stuff has some real punch ,
in a different league to most other varieties i reckin ..

the stench of ducksfoot combined with that webbed indica ,
wow ,
stuff used to make me nauseous pruning it the fumes were so strong ....

couple of traits i recall standing out other than smell and the leaf ,
the stems were often huge , really over exaggerated like a boab tree ,
they were hollow , and it was hard to bend them as i did with more sativa types ,
they just snapped ..
cloning wasnt as easy either ..
they had red veins in the leaf ,
and the bud on them was weird ,
a little different to what i was used too on my sativas..

ive got some pictures around somewhere im sure ,, ill add them if i can find them foe..

my last batch of seed that was given out for free,
c99 x webb , had that hawaiin indica in its background ..
real nice herb ...

good luck with your project foe ...

ya OLDprog..exactly!....only ran a few beans but so far I like this phenom and it seems to be a mixed 1 with a few of the classic traits..stinky and pinky!...

hey Donald...glad your diggin it...Im really stoked to run these well and really all your work has helped me greatly to understand what Im gettin into...and man wow do they stink...Ive played in a few lines and will say these are in the top 10 for a funky funk...
bro Ive yet to smoke any tho...this is only my 2nd run and run 1 went seeded by a open polly...but as said they showed all the classic DFoot/Web traits..
now Im a big hawaiian herb lovin guy so theres been this Haw-Web/StrawWeb fascination..which keep leading me back to Webs and DFoot...
my goal is that I'll use the phenom I have atm if she holds tru and I do have some of your orig rel DFoot seed...Im not sure about using the line Im trying now further past this phenom just cause as shown its a blend with a few lil probs with reverted ones and all..
So im just testing it but so far the line has me wanting to explore your DF to compare...all the same to me ya know...
thanks for being so open and strait about origins...Ive always only known of 2 lines like were talkin...DFoot and Haw Webbed Indicas...This line gives me a lil view of the HWI and MauiGirl and all those...
and can I ask..are you the one who named HWInd?...is this correct as mentioned in that quoted post?....if so far as Im concerned...you are the base for these lines my man...
and honestly Ive not yet seen a better range of doc's and work on them to date...
ok so I have a nice lady or 2 in bloom now about 2wks...their just starting to budset and I hope i get them right this set..heh...so far so good but i'll get back with pics in a few days....I really think this phenom I have leans way DFoot atm...but thats why I started this thread was to pull you in and pick your brain!...thnx again for just being open and avail and i'll get back at this soon....keep rollin
