virus help
can anyone help me remove malware from my pc? i was trying to download yahoo messenger and ended up with mystart as a homepage and an incredibar tool bar. i have removed them from ie but it is still on firefox which i use everyday. any help is much appreciated.

Get the free version, update it and run a quick scan first in safe mode (tap F8 while pc is booting up right after initial spash screen). Remove whatever it finds. Reboot, let it go to your normal desktop, then run a full scan. Again remove whatever it finds. That should take care of it. |

above post sounds like a fix.
but first ... for firefox ... try going into 'tools' and disabling unnecessary addons. |

thanks for the tips. i tried what bull mentioned but nothing happened when i pressed f8 while rebooting. i also tried to manage add ons but i couldnt find any under those names???

restart from a past save point
what OS are you running? also use Microsoft Security Essentials for an anti virus, it's the best free one there is on a PC. Also run ad blocker +, no-script, and foxy proxy on firefox
