Thirstykennys earlier thread asking us about decriminalization and legalization really got me thinking and would like to hear others opinions on this hypothetical....cannabis legalized, what restrictions would you deem fair or should it be do as you please??
should there be maximum allowed to grow?? should sales be regulated like alcohol /tobacco?? harsh penalties for selling your grows?? theres many many other things to discuss obviously but would like to hear what your thoughts are

well, no matter what smart-arse attitude I took in Kenny's post ... I think ALL drugs ... heroin, gbh, 'bathsalts', whatever ... should be decriminalised.
I mean there should be no prohibition on any substance ... and I can see that without prohibition the populace is sure to adjust in one way or another to whatever drug taking is in its midst. for example, we cope with Alcohol. don't we? seems to me there will always be those few percent of the population that become addicts or suicide statistics ... no matter what the drug is or what the social climate is like. I think it is unfair to blame any drug for any problem. so for me ... there are no drug problems ... only social problems. Hell! at a time when mind-bending "sedatives" or "beta-blockers" are freely available .. .and it is not yet known by Science how they work on the brain ... I really have a problem with popular* substances being called 'drugs'!!! * I mean 'recreational'. |
