I'm starting to get very worried now, this is one of my favourite sites and has been unavailable for over a week now. Last time I checked it was down for maintenence, it hasn't been up since. All this is getting very worrying...

I am worried too

I just joined up over there after I got some masterlows. I made a post there about some problems I was having with germing. Two days later the site goes down its been almost a week now...I have germed many seeds and I think there was a problem with these as only 4 popped (2 i precracked) and they all seemed to stall when i put them in peat.

BTW this is a nice site glad I found this spot after OG was lost.

Any advice out there on how i should handle this? thanks

Have you asked in the growing forums for help kneehigh, ICMag is full of useful info. I'm seriously missing OG and HB though, bad times...

If this helps: my 3 rules of germing are... moist, warm and dark, no matter what method you use.

How long has Highbred been around? Methinks about a year. Maybe the domain name or hosting service expired? That's been my guess, but I'm also somewhat concerned.

JD did mention that the site would go down for a second time to finish with the upgrades/adjustments. I am thinking that this is just carrying on a little longer than expected. Perhaps they are moving the server...

If you go to highbred.net you will be directed to a page written not in English. This has never been the case before, I am thinking that they are moving the servers, but have no real idea.

I have seen Mdanzig post here since, so perhaps a PM in his direction could clear things up a bit.

I will PM him and tell him to post in this thread.

There is a LowryderFanclub part 3 in the growers forums. I am not sure how active it is, but I know I have seen it.

Keep the Peace

Thanks

People on this site are mad friendly thanks ladies and gents. I PMed mdanzig this morning, its been 11 days from when I started germing these seeds.

They seem to be all stalled in peat pots but then again I have never grown this strain before (a friend of mine who has grown them said I should have seedlings by now if they were viable) I have smoked it and I must say not only was it much better then lowryder in flavor and high but it really helped the nerve damage in my chest, thats my main interest in this strain.

When I say It helped I mean I woke up the next day after smoking a couple joint with some friends in Canada and I had such a reduced amount of pain I felt almost brand new it was very incredible. For the past year and a half it has been a really serious problem for me and a lawsuit is in the works with no end in sight any time soon. During that time I have lost 35 pounds of muscle in my upper body and am unable to work out and do other outdoor activities which I really enjoyed.

Im pretty young and In all seriousness a joint of masterlow helps a lot more with the pain even when im no longer high and the high isn't so dumbing that I feel disconnected like I do when I take one of the many pain killers Ive been prescribed.

I don't want anyone to think I am knocking Masterlow cuz of bad germination results like this could happen to any breeder if anything I owe Mdanzig a hand shake and a thank you. I await for a day when i can harvest my own meds..peace

Try the PowerStout next time I had a 13 out of 13 germ rate. He is sending me some MasterLow and when I get them I'll do a run and see how they do. Did you presoak your beans ?

I've always had trouble with Lowryder seeds, since they have fairly thick shells. Precracking them (pinching them on the seam JUST hard enough to crack it open a little) should really boost your germination results.

Another tip is to sand down the husk with fine sandpaper to thin it out. Can't say I've ever had any germing problems with LRs including my own homebrew seeds, 100% so far.

My current LR stats are:

4 LR(original), 100% germ, 2 female, 2 male.
3 LRxLR, 100% germ, 3 female, 0 male.
3 LRxLR, 100% germ, 2 female, 1 male.

All seeds popped in 1 to 3 days, tissue & tupperware method, non-presoaked.
