day 7 of 12/12 and the cookie wreck's won't show me whats between their legs. 3/4 of my other plants have shown. checked for light leaks and alls good. just impatient i guess

yikes! over the last 24 hrs 3 of 5 cookie wrecks are showing balls. sorry about poor quality pics.

Pullin up a seat for this... come on FEMALE! If the balls are already that big you should be able to tell sex on all of them. Use magnification and look at the tiny parts by the leaf spurs on the uppermost nodes on all branches. Baby calyx will usually not have hairs but you can tell by the shape.
Lookin very lush there, and silica is awesome!

woohoo!! the thread lives. my last cookie wreck showed the venus hairs. thats 1 for 5, for those of you keeping score. fortunately my other strain was 4/5 females. maybe i need to try and convince CV to do a female seed line (in his spare time). i'm not a real fan of regular seeds- i do 1 grow a year and i need on average 5-7 females to hit my 20z goal so i much prefer to veg 10 females and go into flower with my 6-7 best plants.

That does sound annoying, a lot of veg time and effort to get one Female. I have never popped a regular bean, but getting balls on fem seeds can be more annoying! The balls never really bother me until I started a perpetual setup in the same room. Well, the diesel/afghan/flo crosses were finishing up while my hazes were about 3 weeks in. Now about three weeks later it appears that my hazes are gonna be beaned out! This is a first for me to have whole plants accindentally pollinated. ARGH!!!!!
Male/Female plants don't look so bad to me anymore...

hey there twisted, sorry i didn't acknowledge ya yesterday. thanks for stoppin by. i ALWAYS spray all my plants with dutchmaster's reverse at flip +10 days then repeat in 10 days and have never even had a late flower 'nanner. best $25 i'll ever spent on my grow.

I no its to late now but I never waste precious veg time on any seed plant growem big enough to take a few cuts and flip if it's male toss the cuts in the trash if it's female let it finish as u veg the others to the size u want and decide whether or not it's worth runnin again keepin or just trash.... in the long run this will save u a lot of time and countless hrs of aggravation and in total prob add an extra few wks on ur total time...
Cv has fem seeds to I think

Hey Jam, that's a great idea! I am gonna have to grab some of that. I am trying to pop a lot of old beans that came from someone else's homemade fem gens. All his original genetics have been lost over the years and I am hoping to find some of them. Once I find the good ones down the line they can be stabilized. One of the girls that has been curing a bit tastes just like a combo of two of my fav plants, so there is def hope in playing the bean lotto! Everthing I run is a crazy combo of Straight Diesel, Sour Diesel, Afghan, Flo/Blueberry, Hazes with a splash of G-13, NL5, and Hash Plants which I guess is the same as Afghan LoL... I would kill to find my sweet lemon sour D again...
I am gonna grab some Reverse for sure, the perpetual harvest is the way to go for sure! Trimming is soooooo much easier that way. BALLS BE GONE!
