Which organic nute line is the best? (Poll)
Hi, alot of the synthetic nutes have been evaulated and people know which synthetic nutes are the best or at least in the top 3. I thought it might be a good idea to start a poll on organic nute lines. I will supply some of the ingredients of the nute mix to better help your decision.
Pure Blend (Grow: 1-0.5-1/Bloom: 0.5-0.5-1): Seabird guano, bat guano, earthworm castings, fish meal, sea kelp (ascophyllum nodosum), humic acid, fulvic acid, citric acid, raw sugar cane, Agrimineral 72 silica clay extract. BioBizz (Grow: 2.8-0.2-6.6/Bloom: 1.1-2.5-2): Liquid organic fertilizers that can be used in all types of soil mixtures during the vegetative stage. It smells sweet owing to its content of natural sugars which also provide an ideal interrelationship with the bacteria in the soil mixture. Enriched with 70 trace elements and vitamins B1, B2, C and E, Bio-Grow is a complete fertilizer. Bio-Bloom (1.1-2.5-2) contains a small amount of nitrogen and enough phosphorous and potassium to ensure exuberant flowering. Trace elements and hormones of vegetable origin are also added to improve the plant process itself. Bio-Bloom also contains enzymes and amino acids which work in harmony with the soil to promote flowering and fruit production. FoxFarm (Grow: 6-4-4/Bloom: 0.01-0.3-0.7) Grow Big Contains premium select earthworm castings. Guaranteed Analysis as follows: Nitrogen 6.0% (2.9% Ammoniacal Nitrogen; 3.1% Nitrate Nitrogen), Available Phosphate 4.0%, Soluble Potash 4.0%, Magnesium 0.60% Water Soluble, Sulfur 0.50%, Boron 0.02%, Chelated Copper 0.05%, Chelated Iron 0.10%, Chelated Manganese 0.05%, Molybdenum 0.0009% and Zinc 0.05%. Derived from: Ammonium Sulfate, Ammonium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate, Potassium Nitrate, Earthworm Castings, Magnesium Nitrate, Blood Meal, Norwegian Kelp, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Sulfate, iron EDTA, manganese EDTA, zinc EDTA, copper EDTA, chelating agent, Disodium Ethylenediamine Tetra Acetate (EDTA), sodium borate, and sodium molybdate. This product is rich in organics but is not completely organic. Big Bloom is Derived from earthworm castings, bat and seabird guano, rock phosphate, sulfate of potash magnesia (a mined natural mineral) and Norwegian kelp. This product is 100% organic. Earth Juice (Grow: 2-1-1/Bloom: 0-3-1) Grow is Derived from oat bran, sea kelp, bat guano, steamed bone meal, natural potash, blood meal and feather meal in an exclusive biologically action organic base. Bloom is Derived from ancient sea bird guano, oat bran, sea kelp, bat guano, natural potash, steamed bone meal, rock phosphate in an exclusive biologically active organic base. MetaNaturals (Grow: 3-3-3/Bloom: 1-5-5) Grow is Derived from soy, bone meal, blood meal, copper sulfate, magnesium sulfate, potassium sulfate, iron sulfate, manganese sulfate, sodium molybdate, zinc sulfate, humic acids derived from kelp and decomposed plant and animal material. Bloom is Derived from soy, bone meal, blood meal, soy protein, potassium and magnesium sulfates, humic acids derived from kelp and decomposed plant and animal material. Bio Canna (Grow: ?-?-?/Bloom: ?-?-?) BioVega has been developed especially for the plants' growth phase. BioVega is rich in highly absorbable betaine nitrogen that is released according to the plant's needs. The bioactive substances in BioVega stimulate the root development and the formation of strong growth shoots. This allows even the fastest growing plants to optimally start their blooming period. BioFlores was developed for the blooming phase of fast growing plants. BioFlores contains a hops extract. Due to the fact that BioFlores contains a hops extract it provides many of the necessary minerals and in the correct proportions. In addition to these minerals, hops extract also contains cannabinoid-like substances such as lupuline , luparol, lupulon and humulon , which provide the plant with extra blooming power. Fish Emulsion, Guano, EWC, Kelp (Teas) (Varies): Hydrolyzed Fish, Guano and Earthworm Casting Teas with Kelp. Vote for this if you only use this combination for fertilization. The most interesting one seems to be Canna's new Bio line, which I think is derived from other plants and their bloom formula contains hops. Not much is known about it though. It's also interesting to note that FoxFarm's grow formula is not 100% organic. Personally I use teas, but I would bet that Pure Blend or BioCanna would work alot better. Looks like teas and FF are ahead. Is this because teas are the best form of organic fertilizer, and FF is the simplest with still great results?

FF is not 100% organic unless you only use Big Bloom so that's pretty surprising. Teas seem to be pretty safe to use, it's probably almost impossible to overfert with EWC tea, and Kelp isn't super strong either, Guano could do some damage but I think there is a wide margin before you actually start harming things, I've heard Seabird Guano can really mess up stuff though. And they're probably the cheapest too.
neilspotshop, you used BioCanna? It's really rare to find someone using it, did you have any problems with it? Like overferting real easy with it? Or did it work like clockwork? Do you have any budshots or vegshots? I would love to see something done with BioCanna. |

hey bullet proof, Well the bio canna has been good to me. I find that the bio vega is pretty spot on, for my white rhino girls i was using slightly less than full strength but i think thats the strain. The pic below is a male from my current grow, I dont have pics of the ladies out of the lights yet. All the others except the bubblegum clone are looking similar.
I havent yet overferted with the vega, i have managed to with flores but only after ferting after ferting after ferting. This is my cupboard as of two days ago. i have been using the vega, flores and the bio boost. My last grow the bubblegum I messed up my nutrient levels and was only feeding vega at half strength this is what it was like at finish. I dont have any veg pics of that grow. This is a Rhino lady that got too tall so the main cola was tide sidways. I must add that I use De Ironised water. This water is generally very pure with a resistance of about 18 mega oms. I think this is much cleaner than ro water. I have added epsom salts in each grow as the water contains none of the normal trace minerals. If there is anything else you would like to know then just ask! Last edited by neilspotshop; 03-26-2006 at 03:31 AM.. |
