and today this comes out.....

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- In November, Washington voters approved Initiative 502, making recreational marijuana legal.
Now, the state is tasked with transforming 502 from a ballot measure into a reality, and today they've released a tentative time line of how they plan on doing that.
The state expects to have rules relating to producer and retailers in place by early August, plans to issue producer licenses to qualified applicants by mid-August, and qualified retailers by November.
The timeline is tentative due to external factors that are beyond the state's control.

Re: WA dates for public forum on I502 process and setup

I watched the recording from the Seattle open forum, some good words were said, some were not. Overall it was somewhat interesting to watch. I will surely be attending the open forum in my area. Ill have to say, I'm quite interested in the announcement of the rules and regs....

yes...exactly...I will be attending in my area...i' am worried that the state is turning this in to a big deal ...when in reality...it could be simple
currently they seem focused on the magic number that our state will need to meet demands....
WHILE NOT GOING OVER... in fear of excessive WA product being smuggled out of state.....
what awaste of time....

all the people wanna know.... is WHO can grow, and how much will it cost....
but the state seem to feel the need to involve all these other trivial / random / concerns.... instead of dealing w/ the nut's & bolts of the whole dam deal.... idiots savant leading the blind... in a place THEY have never been
