using the knot for the eye comes off brilliantly, and the under bark for the nose , very cool. How long did it take you with that Sthil?

Setheh - the scale of everything is so well placed in their frame. All very good. Very talented.

@bootea, thanks! I think it took me around 40 hours to finish that painting; mostly because there are many layers.

My newest painting:
![]() The painting shows Indian Buddhist master Tilopa. It is painted in "thangka" style which can be found in Himalayan region. It is a very old art style. |

Yeah, it's similar. The avatar is Hindu and the painting is Buddhist.

A macro shot of the palette I used to paint "Tilopa" (above).

I hope you don't mind if I post a sketch or two occasionally. This one was painted outdoors yesterday. Size: 6 x 4 inches.

Looks nice man. I was thinking to write you some critique lika a colleague from a long time hope u don`t mind it...
I like your paintings, but I get kinda like a picture feeling from them. Are you painting them from live view (sorry not sure how to tell this lol, like using real models etc.. ) Or looking from pictures ? I think you shout work a bit on the contrast: Like having some really dark and some really bright spots etc. Some strong colors and some weak ones. Like in you last painting I get the feeling that the white moutains are the closest object to us, because they have some nice strong saturated color. The front is kinda blurry, I think it shout the other way around. Make further objects more blurry and greyish maybe, because of the air perspective. And bring some detail and strong colors infront. Off course those are just some of my thoughts. I hope they help you and you don`t mind my critiques
