Switching to 14/10 may stress the plants out and cause herming, I'm not sure. I know that if you go the other way around, 10/14, it causes the plants to mature faster, but decreases overall yield because you're losing 2 hours light each day they could have been making bigger buds with. Potency is mostly genetic/ideal growing conditions, so you may grow less weed, but it probably would be the same potency (that is if you let the trichs develop to the same maturity).
Somebody else here should have more info on the 14/10 thing. It's just the definition of inducing flowering is usually increasing the dark period from 4-6 hours a day to 12 hours a day. I have also heard the numbers expressed as a range for flowering (8-12 hours uninterpreted darkness). If 14/10 was a plausible flowering schedule you'd probably end up with a better than average yield, as you'd be getting 2 extra hours light per day. I'm thinking 12 is the magick number here though.

That GF from FS is a lovely strain, that produces large, sweet, aromatic buds that kick butt. From experiance this strain wants to grow tall & branch, the more room you give this girl more she will grow. This girl was 26-28" tall, & produced approx 25 grams of grade A tops.
