Good hash method for a small amount of trim?

Hi I pulled off my first harvest and am wondering what to do with the trim.

What do you think is a good method for a newb with a small amount of trim?

I'd prefer a mechanical method like tumbling because it seems cleaner and less dangerous. But still, I'm not scared of doing a solvent extraction .

right now I've got my trim drying with my buds

I am sure I will evntually get some bubble bags but they are just soooo expensive . Well I guess they are not too expensive, but there is definitely some sticker shock for me .

I have a rock tumbler and I think I will see if I can fashion a drum out of silk screen and just let that go for a few days.

Thanks for the reccomendation Blunt_69, Can silk screen be found at craft stores? What size do I want?

silk screen is kinda tricky to find. look at higher end craft stores such as dick blicks. Some art stores sell it by the yard others its going to be sheets in packs. look for like a "speedball kit" or something along those lines. just ask for the screen printing supplies that those silk screens are commonly used for.

edit: about the size the more holes per inch the finer/better quality kif you'll come up with.

I plan on using the cold water/ice/jar method come harvest.

Get the bags they are a bit pricey but once you use them once you are hooked. You start saying to yourself I cant believe all that bubblehash I threw away. I love them they work great. Just buy towards the end of your grow you dont want them just sitting there driving you nuts. I bought mine after I had bit of trim so I could use them right away. Good Luck
