Let me start by saying.... I dig new toys...

Here's the short... I spent last winter learning from my 1st chance to grow and doing lots of this and that. Bought some toys and ended up with some beans and loads of incite.

So the skinny...

So I am looking for help/Guidance a good time or if need be
just a personal journal that others can look at.
Great place to keep pics and delete off computer ya know..

Talking :

Grow area's--

A 2'x8'x8' closet and A DIY grow tent 2'x3'5'

Lights--
400 HPS with a 430 Blub + 300W L.E.D. (1st try)

Feeding--
JACKS Hydro 5-12-26 (3.5g per 5 Gal)
+ CA/N 15-5-0 (1.5g per 5 Gal)

Medium--
Coco/Perlite

Pots--
Original Smart Pots. 3 Gallon with handles and others...

I'm now into my 2nd year of a 5 year plan to start a breeding line.

This year I have more toys and less willingness to do things the hard way. So I searched and searched and this is what I found...

OK here's the break down:

5 Gal blue control bucket with a 30 gal volume tank.
( also have a 5 gal res. ready) Might change over to the smaller one.

If you look at the feeder lines you will see off/on valves on each.
In case I want to change things or move.
I had one on the res-cont line yet leaked. Will get a different kind.

Pulse feeding pump and lines. ( I ordered quick connect and off valves as well as a new manifold )

Controle bucket with float valve.
Using car tire stems as ports. Using 3 with another 3 ready if
I ever expand.

Original 3 gallon Smart Pots with handles using coco filled 1 1/2"
pipe as a wick.

2.5 inch air gap between the bottom and water line.
Small drain holes between pots sitting on 10 gallon tots.

I moved 5 ladies in on 12-20-12.

3 Blue Alaskin Thunder Fcuk
1 Hawiian Punch
1 Kong O.G.

Then there are 5 other beans on day 4.
80's Mid west Bagseed (2)
GS cookies x Platinum Master Kush (1)
Border Haze (1)
Top Shelf BagSeed (1)

The Plan....
No solid plan as of yet. Going with the flow as there is 90% chance I will be moving around the end of JAN.

So for now.
I'm shooting for mothers/long VEG and try to flower
out a crop on the quick as there a chance I could move and keep the closet growing another month.

Who knows.
Slight chance I would have to cut and run..
Thinking with "moonshine" there's a good chance I can take them with me
as I am looking for a place with room to grow for sure.

Training wise--

Wanting 5 sets of Branches so I can cut above the 2nd set and clone each plant.

To speed things up. I now plan to switch the ladies to 12/12 2 days after taking clones and use the clones as mothers.

Taking out the males from the flower room and vegging a good male for a seed grow later.

Train everything on the short side as much I can.
Then go from there...

I really waited to long ta transplant a couple BATF.
Roots out the bottom like crazy and just a touch of brown root on one.

Started from Bean in a coco wick setup under CFL's.

I took a scalpel to the pots, so as not to cut roots.
Worked really good. I cut each pot in half and cut almost no roots.

All 3 B.A.T.F were popped at the same time yet each is different than the other. Loven the phenoms..

The Hawaiian Punch and Kong both had dry coco on top.
Around a inch deep- must have been the wick.

Its been cold and I raised the lite's with the larger plants.
All of which seems to have stunted their growth a little.

Lets see if I get lucky- No shock,no stunting... Fingers crossed.

Feed with 3.5 grams Jacks Hydro per 5 gallons water and a total
of 30-35 gallons used to start it up.

Ready to start upping jacks (.5 per 5 Gallons a week )till I get to around
6 to 6.5 .

Thinking 7 to 7.5 grams per 5 Gallons is full strength.
Anyone know if this correct ?

Going to add Cal/Nit at 1.5g per 5 Gallons

Ph strip shows high 6 low 7 PH. Looking for the PH pen I bought. lol

Nice set homie! If your 400 is digital/dimmable turn it up to "super" for that 430w, it's my understanding you'll need the extra 30 watts to hit the blue notes!! Stay greasy playa

So I get home today and as soon as I entered the room I was hit with this musky sweet smell. These ladies are only 30 odd days veg. Smells like late flowering time.... What a trip these BATF are going to be.
Chit my 1st grow didn't smell anything like this till late flowing.

I know most have some early smells but dammmmnnnn...lol

DIY 2'x2'x5' Grow box...

Ya got to love ducktape.*

I used a frame from a portable closet.

Emergency blankets and a tarp on 3 sides.

Styrofoam roof, floor and door. Zipper in the center of the door.

A small bathroom ceiling fan on top and a air intake on the bottom of the door.

Lots of ducktape...*

Cost... Under $40.00

She may not be perty..Yet, No lite leak. she sure work's good. Great air flow.

Going to put my 300 watt LED with the mini PPK system.

Using this tent for Clones and Mothers/VEG...

12/27/12 moving along...

Took clones off each of the 5 teens last night.

Labelled and sitting on a heating pad off to the side.
Took monster clones as I waited till after Xmas and for the Kong to catch up a little.*

The tallest 2 are touching the top of my dome, so I'm a little worried about that.

The ladies in moonshine are looking great after cutting.Loving the set up.
Just a few days and you can tell they are happy little ladies.

Waiting for the glue to dry on my Mini PPK set up then will be moving the clones into my LED tent and flip the main closet to 12/12 for flower power.

Good things a coming...
