Well Ben that all depends on the size J's you roll. If you roll 1 gram joints then you will have 112 joints. Then if you have 2 gram joints u have 56 joints or .5 gram joints you get 224. Easy huh? The more important question is how many people will be there? For example as host you might want to suppl yeveyone with 4 joints so figure out how many people you have coming , how many jonits you have them to have and then do the math. Or you could just put 1 oz in 4 bowls spaced out through out the area . Peopl ecan help themselves. Waste not want not

I have used those machines maybe a couple minutes a joint but also depends if bud is all ready broken up or not.

Why don't you tell US, ben? After all, surely you know how long it takes you to roll a joint, and surely you can use a calculator to decide how much weed will go in each joint......

well you see i did run the numbers on me doing it...
didnt like the career it looked to be...

so now i was wanting to get an idea of what to expect from the guy who says " oh ya sure... i can do that no problamo...

so really i guess im looking for recommendations for size and weight of a good outdoor 'pass around the party' joint?? the form factor offering the most satisfied users per gram dispensed??

what gets the best mileage at the park or other crowded public venue??

well I'd say a NICE fat joint weighs anywhere from 1.5-2grams.. and may be unrollable depending on your skill. You can only fit about 1 gram in a roller.. so if you can't hand roll go with that

Well if you are secluded a nice vap of glass piece will go a long way. But then you have alot of mouths on it. You should roll up lik e 40 or 50 J's and leave the rest in bowls for people to toke as they feel. SOme people ( myself included) wont smoke something they didnt see rolled in front of them > never know whats in there. Best to give people choices. If you roll up all joints what happens to the 5 people who are there that hate joints? Roll up 40-50 J's to keep the lazy ones happy. Then leave the rest out with some other things ( Glass, vap, blunts whatever) next to herb for people to have choices.

Personally I never enjoyed smoking joints that are huge. They shouldn't have to be big to get a good hit and if enough joints are being passed around at any one time, you will be sure to get lots of opportunities to get a puff. If the joints wind up going every which way all at once, you will probably get passed two joints from different directions at the same time.

Something I will take to a party next time, if I ever get another invitation, will be some blunts. In a public place they would look and smell like a cigar and I look like someone who might enjoy a cigar while out in the park. Unless it's your place you might have to smoke them outside with the cigarette smokers; but they are usually the more interesting people at the party anyway.

I tried them last fall and took a couple up to the back woods of New Brunswick with me. I thought a heavy smoking friend of mine would like them but as it turned out, he didn't...but his woman who was a granola crunching, outdoors type, health nut, Loves them!

Ben,

Per gram I'd say about 5 people per 2 hours (however this depends upon experiance new smokers will not need as much). You’d be better of rolling a few big joints like 6or7, 3 paper joints (or get the extra large papers, or blunt wraps) (~2-3 grams per joint) and then just bonging or piping the rest. A nice glass pipe with a large bowl is a good investment for such a party. Also a grinder will be usefull for pre-grinding most of the weed. People can pick and pack at their leisure.
