Food Dehydrater for quicker drying times?

Has anyone every tried or heard of someone using a food dehydrator for speeding up the drying time.

I have heard of quick drying chambers but im thinking they are similar to these.

I have found one food dehydrator that can run at a mile 103 degrees, which isnt that bad if you live in tropical weather your plants may experience these types of temperatures.

Any ideas?

i guess if you REALLY need to get your buds dry then go for it, ive heard it works, BUT, you should really think about all the hard work and time you put into growing those buds, why rush it now, it will make all the difference in the world if you just hang dry em then stick em in some jars for a mounth or two. trust me, you will be happy you did. the slower the dry the better......

Only time I've really heard it advocated was in conjunction with a Water Cure, otherwise, an air dry is much preferred. Generally, it's adivsed to get one with an adjustable thermostat, and to not exceed the 90-95F mark.

That being said, it certainly will work.

Food dehydrators

a friend of mine kept going on about a food dehydrator he had bought..i was kinda dubious about it till i tried it..he lent me his setup with 8 stackable trays...i loaded up one tray and hit the switch...set the thermostat to around 28oC and left it too it...12 hours later i had the driest buds i`ve ever had..twigs were snapping and the buds felt dry as a bone...under inspection with a 20xloupe i found the trichomes to be undamaged...i place the dried buds in a jar for 2 days with little or no apparent rehydration...i loaded a bong a was genuinely gobsmacked by the results...perfect...now i normally take around 4 weeks from the chop before i`ll sample the fruits of my labour but this was incredible..i gave a few of my chosen friends a little sample purely for their opinion without telling them what i had done (cause they are kinda critial when it come to smoke) and they all came back with the same comment. "u got any more of that?"....mmmm...if u can get access to one of these machine try it....just try a little to start with and give it a go..

I guess the story ends with....i`ve just ordered the 9 rack dehydrator from a uk company and i can`t wait till it arrives. To all the Connoisseurs out there....don`t knock it till you`ve tried it.

And hey...it makes superb beef jerky too....proper munchie tackle ... hahahaha.
