F1 Hybrids using a Lavender male

I've ordered & grown out 8 of Soma's flaves (counting a pack of Citralah that didn't germ) & I've had a few others gifted to me along the way...

Sometime last year I decided to take an extremely "showy" lavender male & splash it's collected pollen onto a few sexy ladies...these happened to be Blue Moonshine (Dutch Passion), Island Sweet Skunk (local clone, rescued from a spider mite factory but sadly never cloned), and Afghan Delight (SOMA seeds)...

I gave away a few packs of my homemade creations (standard in the industry) & kept 10-15 of each for later...

*I grow all plants in an organic mix of the highest order (MSM's) it requires NO additional nutes beyond veg (this means PLAIN ph'd water, STRICTLY)....the results are as follows...

-->Afghan Delight x Lavender: All seedlings culled after displaying EXTREME lack of vigor, due to (I believe) common ancestry/unforseen inbreeding (Afghan Hawaiian)...

I germed like 10 seeds of Blue Moonshine x Lavender & was blessed with 2 females (A & B)....The Blue Moonshine female was chosen for her frost & heavy yield (which were my top priority @ that point) + it turned a wiiicked purple, in hindsight there was a heavy yielding BM mom I could've chosen which was super strong & "Blue" smelling....I think I didn't pollenate it because it was near a "Skush" (gypsy freebie) that was showing late herm...

*We've tentatively chosen "blenda" as the name, but if anyone has other suggestions let me know...

~~~>Here's some pics @ day 43...she's got a "mellow" blue scent (similar to the mom), VERY dense, quick grower as well...
Flash forward to day 62 (could've gone a few more, but we had a MAJOR freakout about some "Babylon Buggies" parked right outside the heeze)...those nicely trained leads you saw before are now fully linked w/ rock hard colas...not a terribly punget aroma, very pleasent smell though...showy flowers with MANY purple hues...
I've got some cured nuglet pics I'll upload a lil later...the smoke was enjoyable & it's certainly a great yielder, but the "plain" element reminds me of the traits I didn't enjoy in the mom...
*Also, this has peculiar Sativa-ish looking leaves...very much an "off type" compared to how exceptional Blenda B is...
Up Next...
..."Blenda" B....here's a few shots early in flower, great structure, magnificent indica leaves, pungent SkunkyBlue smell....
RIDICULOUS amounts of trichomes (something I've come to be very accustomed to growing Afghan Hawaiian dominant Soma strains & hybrids)...
Flash forward to day 58 or so, the leads have formed large tight tops, bursting with overpowering aromatics...VERY showy fall colors (leaves & buds)...if you were to roll a spliff around on the leaves it would become soaked in seconds...
*The overall yield was less than "A", but upon curing, sampling w/ village elders & puffing heavily myself I've decided it's a definate keeper, flippin' face smasher!!!
**When you first start to open jars it has a mouthwatering mega-rich earthy blue scent...upon curing the smell becomes much more complex, with Piney undertones...all in all much more complex flavor & high than "A"...
SOMA~~~>Congratulations on winning the Indica Cup with lavender, it's a real winner....& I neglected to say that there were NO HERMS in any of the BM x LAV progeny...
Nice girls Rom. I have one Lav lady from a seed given to me by OldPink before it won the cup. I really wanted a boy but am happy with my beautiful girl. I have not flowered her thru, she showed sex @ 6 weeks veging and I started taking clones. Clones are rooting now and the mom is growing well. Mom is in dirt and clones are hydro. I will post pics when i have some ready to flower.
Did I know you on OG?
