The only more or less serious breeder I know of is "Anandaground GenetiXXX" but there are only three cuttings named Heavy Duty Haze, esbX and Leela around. I would not know where to get seeds, not even F1s.

I imagine I can work out roughly what to expect from "heavy duty haze", I assume it's a higher producing or stronger Haze type plant? Leela is purple I'm guessing :-P but purple buds or purple leaves? More Indica or sativa? esbX? What's that like?

Penalties for growing are somewhat stiff if you get caught, even if grow supplies/clones/seeds are readily available. Austrians can legally grow for ornamental purposes, but if you're growing for commercial sale, they'll throw the book at you. Clones and vegging plants are ok, blumen sind verboten (flowers are prohibited).
Just my understanding of the issue!

Proper breeding is by any measures a hustle so most people just buy elite clones and good seeds for self supply. For people generally able to come up with stable genetics superior to Amnesia Haze or similar available strains taking the risk of losing years of work in case of a bust seems to be too much. I think Switerland is a good example. There were times when you could breed and grow under extremely good conditions in Switzerland but some when law changed and a lot people got busted and lost everything. No wanting to risk losing everything all over and over again breeders like Alpine pissed off to Spain. |

Austria is definitely a paradise compared to Deutschland, and with ready availability of clones, I can see why it would be easier just to keep producing tons of fat buds instead of trying to do genetic work!
Great organic produce, an educated and quite liberal populace and all the clones you want...Der Osterreich is a pretty cool place! I think I'll be there in a month or two! |

Just grew some cuttings bought in Austria (Energetic Flowers): kali mist and shiva shanti.
Shiva was good, kali is out of this world. |
