Looking for 1 ton totes of worm castings
So I am looking for 1 ton totes of worm castings. I would rather pay more for a higher quality product. The supplier would need to be in the midwest, or the south due to shipping rates. I have found a few companies, but their quality did not seem to be the best.
Thanks for the help!!! |

Hav a place in Michigan Dairy Doo... Google should get it for you. Dude who owns it is a great guy. And while not a patient to my knowledge,is very helpful with special mixes for the organic crowd..
He has the only worm barn I've seen with a METRIC TON OF SHIT!!!!

These are the folks you want if you're east of the Mississippi.
https://www.wormpower.net/ I think they can handle your needs. I can also verify the viability of their high end organic castings/vermicompost. Wholesale accounts & bulk sales - https://www.wormpower.net/worm-castings/content.php?k=30 J |

Check out Silverbait. I believe they are in TN. I found them to be affordable and of good quality.

If you blow 100 cubic yards of wet leaves in a soil area that has access (on the bottom) to normal redworms that live in the soil -
and cover them with a tarp ... 3 to 6 months later, you'll have about a ton of worm castings. From a soil science point of view, it is fascinating. The "stoichiometry" of the process is - Oak leaves + Water + Oxygen ==> Carbon Dioxide + Worms + Trace Humus I am amazed at how the 500 pounds of oak leaves that drop from one of my trees every year, ends up being Nothing 9 months later. Nothing as in Zip-zero-zilch, a bare sand-clay area when everything is eaten. The chickens eat the worms. A good part of the 500 pounds of oak leaves ends up being carbon dioxide - since bacteria and other micro-fauna are directly involved in the creation of the worm castings. And they all exhale carbon dioxide. |
