florida or California?

If you guys remember I made that really lame thread yesterday about not knowing what I want to do in life. Well, I still don't, but I made a decision: I want to be near the water. Florida or Cally is the decision. Any help/advice, etc?

Florida is much, much closer to my family. I have never been to Cally. Then again, the nice laws are OBVIOUSLY a huge reason cally gets a thumbs up. I live for fishing. It's my life. The ocean fishing is probably considered a bit better as the species from the shore tend to be a bit bigger from what I gather. The cost of living in Cally is the hard part, particularly near the water. Thats what really scares me. Is it as bad as everyone says it is?

Any ideas of specifically what section of those two states might be better than others? Remember, must be on or near the water...Thanks guys. Seriously. This is a great place. Where else can I ask serious questions and get serious answers when a huge factor is the MJ laws? Hehe, you guys rock

Winters in Florida are cool , but summers suck. Its a swamp. Way too humid. Plus in southern florida its all cubans ( no offense) but if you dont speak spanish and make over $500K , southern florida isnt to fun Northen florida is OK but stil a swamp with hurricanes. Florida has alot of beautiful women though.. Cali is much better ,w eather wise and people wise.IMO. Diverse state, nice law. Shitty earthquakes though

Thanks alex. I respect and appreciate your advice. Have you looked at real estate that way? Is the cost of living really as bad as they say?

Open your wallet and look at the bills in it. If you see the gas and electric instead of Mr Franklin then goto florida.

Alot of places in Florida are very expensive, like Miami. But also LA is expensive. It depends on what you are looking for. I think you are 18-22 ( said your a student) and if that is the case dont go to Southern Florida. It will kick your ass. Expensive , too many hot women and clubs dont close till 6. Move to northern Cali and relax, go fishing . Pacific ocean is much cleaner than atlantic. People are more laid back west of the mississippi .

if you make 500K i think he can have 2 diff properties one in each. If you make 500k just about any place can be made fine. If you make over 500k you make more than 90% of the world. If you 500k 3 camels can squeeze throught the eye of a needle before you make it to heaven instead of hell. If you make 500k you love the current regime by Mr. bush, even if you hate everything else about him.

i might be completely wrong about this so dont listen to me

yes the cost of living, as far as rent anyways, is extremely high in LA and im sure most of the rest of cali but i dunno theres prolly some cheaper areas. but you also get paid a lot more. minimum wage is higher and people just get paid more in general.

where i live, living is a lot less than cali but you also get paid a lot less. if you have no skills and no education and no experience, like i was right after i graduated highschool, you'd be lucky to find a job paying more than 6 or 7 dollars and hour, and if you get extremely lucky and find a really high paying job you might get 10 dollars an hour. but that's pretty much the highest paying job you can find if you have no experience or anything.

but in cali where the cost of living is so much higher, it would be easy for someone in the exact same situation to find a job for like 15 an hour and im sure if you get lucky you can find something for a lot more
