HPS in new room - Growroom Lighting - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I am constructing a new room and will be using 400HPS in the flowering room...I plan on isolating the transformers outside the room...the distance from the transformers to the lamps will be about 18ft...I have read that there are different ignitors that can be purchased to accomplish this...but it seems to me that I have read of a way that it can be done by just moving the ignitor closer to the lamp...does anyone know anything about how this is done???

u can connect ur ign and trans together and away from ur grow room without any problems, u don't need to buy any other stuff.

Thx redrose, and well what you say might work but I have done enough wiring to know that working and working properly are not one in the same thing...if the distances are to far you will lose both lamp and transformer life...there are things that you can do to solve these problems.

I believe I read that most HPS ignitors are good for about 30 feet before you need to upgrade the ignitor.

I'll see if I can find where it was being discussed.
