Purple peyote flowering time ?

Greetings stoners

I keep reading that the pp should be harvested at 8 weeks or 9. Im wondering whats the deference when harvested at 8 or 9 weeks ?

And if anyone here have pushed them to 70 days + ?

Will this affect the potency and smell/taste ?

Also if anyone could share a nice way to dry those buds. They are hard rock frosty already, but the stems are big and thick. Do u guys remove the buds from the stems to dry them ?

Thansk for sharing infos.

I will try to share pics soon, they are 33 days right now, vegged for 2 months.

yeah ive let a couple go to 70,, the taste/smell gets more rounded and less shampoo like but the head high is lost a bit..

i like 60-65,, i didnt use to remove nugs from stems to dry but i do thesedays..

here's some dry that was taken at 8 weeks,, tasted and smoked great for me but some would wait another week or two..

PP is very potent IMO. Some of the most crusty plants I have grown. The longer you let them go the more Coffee/hash/earthy aromas and tastes come out. You want to harvest her at 80% cloudy 10 % amber.....I just lov lov PP.

I dry all my plants whole on the stem. I remove all of the larger fan leaves hang her until she is crispy on the outside. I then do a final trim place the buds in shoe boxes until there at 60%Rh(place some in a small ball jar with a meter to test for 60%). then they go into jars for a cure with a RH meter.. I dont like putting wet buds into jars then burping until you get to 60. The flavor is not the same if I dry them out of the jar then use the jar to cure... For me it turns out better.

70 days is the longest I have done. I have done the other spectrum as well at 55 days.
58-62 days seems to be the sweet spot for pp in my garden..

I have not seen any reports that PP was not liked. Im sure there are many other strains that are just as nice but straight from seed these are the best I have found that are so consistent in there quality from plant to plant not much variation. I have only seen 2 phenos 1 has large leaves the other looks more like a hybrid. I have never found any that look 100% sativa. The final product is pretty much the same between the 2 phenos..

the tiniest drop in the effective quality of the drying period,, ie they are easier to over dry when all trimmed off the stems before drying if you are'nt careful..

well said hammerhead

good actions

lovely thats what you get from PP. The growth is very unique to this strain. You can pick her out of a crowd no problem.
