Thanks! The male smell on stem rub is skunky with a sharp note. It's got a sweet aspect, but more of a sharp/bitter/tart thing. Hoping a day or two more and I can give a better description.

Curious to see what he does with a little more veg time.

Thanks SS. These will probably be flipped in a week or so, roughly. Think I have 7 girls, may pot up again, going to give 2 weeks if so.

Good luck with your seedlings.

Always room for you Dali! Good to see ya. Thanks!

Side note, I noticed the male is starting to drop a bit of pollen. He is still really focused on producing flowers. Going to try and isolate him, about to flip a RDWC scrog and don't want accidental pollination. IF I get crazy, maybe a tiny bit will see some pollen.......

Here is the early male. Didn't really check on him for several days besides basic necessities and just noticed the excessive pollen.
This is all under 18/6.

Had to chop him down a lot since I now have plants flowering, can't take the risk of accidental pollination. Still have him though.

Wanted to see what you thought of him, Frank. The smell/intensity isn't really impressing me, but not saying it's bad. I like the flower development and the amount of branching for the height. Started to show some single blade fans, now showing 3 blades. Almost like he auto-flowered and is correcting himself in veg. Different then most I've seen.

Should have some shots of the girls soon. Added some other plants to the tent. Always need a variety of flavors and I like something to use as a control.

That's a CB x DB Bx1 male? Looks to be super heavy leaning towards a Sour Bubble / Grape Krush type of epxression...

I am thinking he probably smells a bit skunky / burnt rubber / undefined sweetish spice -

I'm thinking he might be a very interesting pairing. I wrote some where about the potential for such an expression, and I wouldn't think it to be very common. But I wouldn't expect the resulting offspring to be very defined in regards to fully on berry expression, but would expect the resin quality on them to be VERY GOOD. Always hard to tell what a male will do - and truthfully it is all speculation until you put one to work...but it helps me to ponder and create a "plan" that way I learn more aptly what I saw/thought vs. actual results. Learning as I go along, just like anyone else. Every new plant is a new possibility and a new lesson to learn...lol.

You should ask Chili_B how much of his Arnold daddy he sees in that male...be interesting to get his take on it...

that auto flower reminds me a lot of what my carolina blue looked like in 18/6 lighting. not the balls , but the way the leafs look. the center blade is elongated. the sour bubble male had more rounded fatty leafs and never auto flowered. Could be interesting to hit something with pollen to lower flower times. But imho I wouldnt use it. He looks like the CB pheno to me. Good luck and keep up the passion.

Yup, he's a CB x DB Bx1 male. That smell sounds really close, I noticed the mild skunk & sweet spice.

Wasn't sure about using him, his looks just caught my eye. Different from the rest. Thanks for the input!!

Chili! Thanks for that info!!

Appreciate the advice. I briefly thought about dusting a few things, but the auto-ness he is showing kind of changed that.

Can't wait to see what the girls bring to the table.

Yeah, I was thinking carolina blue to a degree too based on how the fans were pressing so far apart from each other.

It is certainly different. The fact it has lateral branching means it can't be ALL that much carolina blue...So, in that regard, I think this is probably a much more GK expression...with a twist of the SwtTooth auto trait...lol. Oh, hybrids. Their fun.

The auto-flower trait there is questionable though. It'd suck to have that put into a seed line on the females....makes keeping a mom a pain...lol.

Man Brother...you couldn't have started this thread at a better time. This has my attention! Really has me excited to see some of the phenotypes from the carolina blue x digitalberry cross. I was lucky enough to obtain about 20 of these although a few weeks behind brothers grow..... 16 made it through the germination stage and are just going into one gallon pots to be upgraded than sexed. I'm really searching for that true blueberry tasting nug. I was curious how this cross handles the nutes because most blue berry that I have tried seems to leaf claw at lower ppms! Well, I'm along for the ride. Viva la blueberry!!
