A dopey scheme to give away drugs has left NSW police in possession of three garbage bags stuffed full of cannabis.

The haul, weighing in at 16 kilograms, was found on the side of Belong Road, Bomaderry, about 160km south of Sydney.
Adorning the bags were cardboard signs with the spray-painted message "Free dope. Smoke. Mull up".
A passerby found the bags about 10am last Saturday and, upon closer inspection, discovered freshly harvested marijuana leaves inside.
"Perhaps they were just sharing the love," a New South Wales police spokesman said about the find.
"If no one comes forward to claim them, the marijuana will be destroyed," the police spokesman said. "We're waiting to see if anyone does."

I like that story very much - typical Aussie humor by the growers - untypical Aussie humor by the cops.

What ended up as 16 kgs of leaf on the police report probably started out as 60 kgs, that's the typical modus operandi of the boys in blue around here anyway.

It is funny playing with the police the stupid idiots they can be. Reminds me of a thread a guy was making these seed balls taking a seed and wrapping it in clay so it can be thrown anywhere and when it got wet it would sprout we should all be planting seeds around cop shops, city hall, ditches everywhere keeping the cops busy getting rid of the bag seed versus our home gardens.

And the funniest thing i heard on the radio reports (ABC radio) was the 'street value' was around $90 000 !!!. Most fucking expensive Glad bags I've heard of!

I swear sometimes the cops would not know if their ass was on fire, and when they did find out, they'd be fucked if they knew what to do about it.
