Consumer Unit
Hi folks,
I'm attempting to install a consumer unit in my Loftie but I'm a bit confused by the earth leads. I have the mains IN, Live & Neutral with an earth unattatched. I have the power OUT Live & Neutral to the busbar with an earth unattatched. See photo. My question is; Do I just connect these two earths together and then fix a wire from them to an earth strap? That would mean the earth would bypass the consumer unit. I thought RCD's worked by detecting a bad earth and then tripping. If I bypass the CU, won't that render it useless? Your comments would be most appreciated! Stay safe
