Please check my led spectrum
Hello,
at first sorry for my bad english. I plan to build a selfmade mini led panel for flower. My grow space is 7" x 15"  . The power will be around 30w and i tried to calculate the spectrum with ColorCalculator and just want to know what you think. I didnt manage to add warmwhite and coldwhite leds in ColorCalculator, so you have to imagine that there will be one 2w warmwhite & one 2w coldwhite in addition to the spectrum. And the deep blue peak is not only at 670nm, i plan to use one 650nm deep blue & 670nm blue but i just got the datasheet for the 670nm so i was not able to calculate correct. I know my calculations are not perfect but i think you can work with this  Here is the list of my leds : 1x deep blue 2w 1x blue 2w 1x warm white 2w 1x cold white 2w 3x red 2w 6x deep red 2w 1x 730nm 1w 1x green 2w 1x 400 3w the lumen (without 400&730nm) 617nm - 435lm 590nm - 300lm 625nm - 387lm 505nm - 234lm 455nm - 1995mw 528nm - 336lm 654nm - 3731mw 470nm - 110lm 730nm - 130mw 400nm - 250lm  So what do you think ?

It all looks good but I'm not sure if you have enough LEDs there.isn't the rule 30-50W per sq foot or feet?

Looks right obviously the more light the better they make 600w equilancy ,I have not seen 1000 yet. As long as you have the ultra violet in your specrum then you should be good. You needto make sure your roots stay at around 80 degrees .. stay safe headband 707

hello,
i added 2 more red and 1 more hyper red leds. Do you really think i need more power ? at full power i have now 40w, and my space is just 0,089m² (im building a superstealth pc box)

What you are doing will work for about 2 sq ft.
IMHO, you would be better served by using broad band (read white) leds. By using discrete frequency leds you are limiting harmonics and creating peaks and valleys in the spectrum and intensity at any point in space/time due to the angular difference in the photon beams from each of the leds coupled with the frequency differences. |

I understand you correctly that i have to use more wharm&coldwhite ? or what do you mean ? I will use osram golden dragon plus leds, but i have problems finding good lens or reflectors :( the distance to the plant will be 20 centimeters, and the viewing angle is 170° so i think i have to use lens or reflectors or what do you think ? Maybe i will do a journal, when everything works perfectly. Currently i have some trouble with my selfmade carbon filter... |
