coolio!

I've got 3 packs of the PK mix, so I look forward to seeing some of that for sure!

well; I am thankful today. evidently i mislabeled one of my purple kush because it is clearly another chemsourxsscdh. schweetness. now I have 4 instead of 3. germ rate was 66% not 50% evidently. got 4 out of 6.

lol...makes me feel a bit better... - I know $m just got 9/10...

Where as I just got 1/5 of some Ken Father Alpha Diesel, when like 4 others got 100% - so it happens sometimes. I think I soaked mine a touch too long and drowned them...

But glad to see another ChemSour x SSCDH - going to be some mind bending herbs!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

PS - do keep in mind the "purple kush" was just a generic label applied to a mix pack of seeds - those seeds are either BKGK Bx1 or FBPK - made a great mix pack because you can certainly expect "purple kush" family type plants, and they share the same father in the BKGK x Digi Bx1 daddy. So, they'll stand apart as they grow...and you'll be able to tell which is which line...BUT for the sake of not confusing the community at large, I'd refrain from calling them "purple kush"....if that makes sense. Many clones already have such a label and it just gets all kinds of confusing.

Kind of the same way on the seed listings, they said "blueberry" - while I may not personally ever call Carolina Blue x Digi Bx1 "blueberry" but rather CBDB - I guess I got lazy when writing things down, but probably too picky at being precise when discussing things on the forums....

At any rate - just don't want any confusion on what is in ones garden.

DF, getting ready to start some CBxDB beans, and I am going to start them with a soak. Never done this before, but my germ rates have not been the greatest. So in effort to UP the germ rate, I figured I would add a soak to my germ process.

My question based on your remarks above, how long was too long?
Any other info you can share concerning how you germ. Water only or water + h2o2? If the water + h202, what ratio of h202 to water? With only 10 beans to play with, I am hoping to increase my odds of germ as best as I can.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

I always soak in water for about 12 hrs - but the key is not really time - but to soak until the seeds sink. This can be checked about once every three hours by gently poking at them as they float and encouraging them to drop. They'll come back up like a fishing bobber at first, but they should drop to the bottom of the glass eventually...I say about 12 hrs - but it can take 24 hrs sometimes.

(My mistake on the KF x AD is they sank in about 6 hours - and I had other seeds I was soaking at the same time...I left them at the bottom of the glass, as the other seeds weren't ready...for at least another 8 hours...I should have just started the KF x AD when they dropped...)

An important thing to make mention, is you want the water lukewarm. NOT COLD. Keep it some place it is not going to get cold...top of a water heater, etc. My clone / seedling shelf is above a 400w, and the heat from that get trapped in sorts and warms the shelf, keeping things warm just so.

After soaking I place things into damp paper towels inside a tupperware container with the lid on for about 24-48 hours, until the crack and show a strong tap root beginning...

I usually set the tupperware across the top of my 4ft t-8 fluros - keeps them a touch warmer to keep them out of direct light, but still warm...

I normally have very high success rates with germination this way...as long as I stay on top of with the soaking...and don't make my paper towels to wet.

Hope this helps...

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Seymour - good luck with those beans!

Thanks for sharing your germ info, I am going to follow it to the "T".

lol - I kid you not though - that ChemSour had me excusing myself from the room and finding my way to the bathroom - looking like Casper - and sweating like a pig - sitting on the toilet seat with my head between my knees telling myself "it's just weed" -lol

It was some STRONG herb. I can only imagine how excessively potent the phenos in this hybrid will be - one hit wonders for certain.
