Bloom is on a distinguished road
Lizard heating mat is a NO NO

Well needless to say and just a heads up for other people, please don't use a Lizard heating mat (for reptile cages) for seedlings or anyother reason in your grow rooms, I lost over a hundred dollars in seedlings and over 600 dollars in fire damage.....Had the heating mat under a propagation tray (plastic!) with two 5 gallon (plastic) grow containers.. Heat+plastic= stink, black smoke and a sad ending... P.S BUY A SMOKE DETECTOR FOR YOUR ROOMS.

I Will.... Going to clean shop then place another order.. wish the beans would get cheaper. GL!

urbanfog will become famous soon enough
I use them, but what I did was mount it to a ceramic tile and that radiates the heat evenly. Sorry for your loss brother

The reptile heat mats are far too powerful to use in standalone mode... What you need to do is interrupt the power supply with a remote probe Thermostat, Aquarium/Vivarium, put a separate Thermometer in the medium/propagator and set the Thermostat to cut out when th Thermometer is at 23C... this is really simple, and it then runs forever, perfectly, regardless of season.

You must use a separate Thermometer, the dials on Thermostats are notoriously wrong - get the true temperature from a dedicated Thermometer.

For use as a propagator, you can get even better results using the Heat Mat to heat 2" of water in the bottom of the propagator, this spreads the heat from the mat beautifully and humidifies the area... so you can run with no top, or vents wide open from day 1.

Both the remote Thermostat probe and the Thermometer should be placed in a cube, or whatever you use, just like the stems of your cuttings, or seedlings, honestly, it gives the best results I have ever seen done like this.
