Don't worry the leaves should narrow out throughout time.

What are you using for light mexicani-ar? I hope some white light not the hps. I will soon have a pack of Nierika Trust Acapulco Gold too.

The leaves and structure of your plant look like pictures I have seen of plants in Guerrero back the 70's. Could be the real deal. Still do not see why they give away such a treasure.

Congrats yesum on getting a pack, what kind of lighting would you suggest? I thinks it's great their giving away this treasure as I always wanted a pure mexican.

Yesum I tried to message you back , no luck . The guys width Michoacan seed were Carlos and Marcos whose Dispensary was on Cofey Ln. In Santa Rosa , they may still do delivery ? The buds were long foxtail colas and had an electric cut through high best wishes , Mexican is the holy Grail

Hey thanks bigmotaman48, will see if I can locate their dispensary.

mexicani-ar I would say anything but hps or red and blue LED. The regions these strains come from have intense sunlight, close to the equator and mostly high in the mountains. So very intense sun.

I favor using a high spectrum light. 4000k and above. I currently have a 3800k main LED light with supplemental lighting from 4 household 15 watt LED at 5000k. I think even higher in Kelvin scale would be better but this is what I have now.

Metal halide is good. I would select the higher K bulbs for sativa runs. All this is just my notion but DJ Short also says this as far as using the metal halide over the hps. Good LED were not an option when he wrote about this.

Uvb is high in these regions too so adding that would be a plus I think. Just turn the uvb light off before you open your tent to be safe. I only bother with the uvb reptile cfl bulb the last week or two of flower. I hang it vertically in the center of the plants and move it up and down every few hours to hit all the length of the plants. I have a uvb meter and know how far it shoots uvb, about a foot max.

^ nice post yesum. I ran out of positive rep on the frosty thread.

vermontman seems to be having great success with landrace sativas with his led setup.

I have a sole 400w hps and many landrace sativas don't prform well under this light. some do. i'm an outdoor grower and judge by outdoor results only. I do need to change my indoor setup.

Tranquilidade will become famous soon enough
According to DJ Short, you can't mimic the tropics at home. Nothing beats outdoors!
