The tropical seed crew gifted me their chiskei p4 I believe a while back. Very nice line, one of my favorite smokes to this day. Very clear headed and uplifting buzz. Clears the minds fog very well, an introspective unique high! I have very few seeds left and a cpl hybrids from that p4 line, which was the best Id grown. Really hoping to find some similar plants this season. I didnt get a chance to grow them out last summer, but you can bet your stash they will be coming up as the weather warms. If you havent grown these, grab some, and check out tropical seeds other varieties. You wont be dissappointed.

Yep, it is quite as you guys are understanding it, same origin ( Herbaria Bushman ) but different hands - works on them. We´ve had this jewel for some years now and it is a line we love and we´ll continue to work hard on.

Done 5 inbreeding steps since we start to work with the Ciskei, always tried to mantain the line opened as the bigger and not that fast ones also have a clearer high and a bit different scents like an spicy haze, more branchy and working nicely when hybridized.

For the next step we´ll focus on using the top quality and faster males / females to bring a really fast potent sativa, but we have different stocks of P1 - P4 in the fridge with the line well opened as to be worked and continued this way.

Loving the african, happy to see everyday more growers interested in them, asking for info, trying them... great.

I'm definitely sold on this ciskei but you're description is a little contradicting. Clear headed and introspective rarely go together. Unless it starts off clear and than changes or vice versa. Introspective to me means locked in my own thoughts, somewhat opposite to being clear headed and able to focus on everything around me. You should post a smoke report if ya have the time.

Bushmans Herbaria is sold as a cutting at floweryfield in austria. Good to know ciskei by tropicalseedscompany isnt on it's own might be worth getting a cut and comparing the two or even crossing them?

some low-level spice-lemon
odors beginning to form.

took a cutting, and after it roots
will put into flowering, for reversing
to make some fem hybrids.

maybe add another week if you like (more)
amber trichs; i harvest at the first sign of them.
nice woody, caramel, cardboard aroma coming off
the buds now.

ciskei nug, 2.5wks after harvest. minimal trim.
her "let's go" energetic effect is starting to come on song.
the high's not perfectly clean/clear at this point, but not
far off. more curing time will probably take care of that.
woody taste thru the vape, with a carrot-y aftertaste.
gives you a bit of dry mouth.
light, airy bud. not much weight for a given volume.
i think she'll make a great cross (reverse) with a compact,
fast-finishing pure green oldtimers haze clone mum i've got.
