You would really enjoy this. It's a very unique smell and flavor and very sativa dominant. Actually very little variation for an f1 hybrid.
Here's a pic from August. Peace. |

ecsd needs to go around 10-11 weeks really,, durban is slightly quicker but not much..
sub saharan ganja has probably been selected the longest for smoking the actual nugs whereas alot of the genetics around today are from lines used to make hash for millenia.. |

Any more info on this? Seed bay listing says there is "plenty of variation", but here u seem to say otherwise. How many beans were tested? This cross sounds enticing regardless, just trying to figure out how often the sour leaners will show up.

From what we grew there were 4 big ones that I spent a lot of time with. I was surprised by how similar those 4 were in traits. Then in another area I had a few flowering out including some males. Those 6 females had more variation in phenotype expressions than the other 4,including one super badass Sour D dominant one that I wish I had cloned. So yea, there was normal variation for an F1 hybrid, although the Durban traits were mostly dominant in the females I've grown. In veg they all smelled so Sour then turned sweet when flowered. Sorry if I made that confusing and in a way I contradicted myself,I smoke a lot when I'm writing those strain descriptions. I put a ton of time and effort into properly describing these varieties and there's over 50 I had to write up descriptions for. Hope this clears it up,and if you do grow them from what my friends told me and from my experience clone those Sour phenos from these, they're absolute killer greasy funky goodness. The sweet Durban ones are great and very unique with a clear motivating high, but I just love me some sour. Stoned and rambling again, smoking some tasty Sour D. Peace. |

Lol, thanks for taking a second to respond Ganja .. That does help quite a bit. Think I'm gunna grab a slew of these ... A perfect mix of sour and Durban taste would be astounding. Again, thanks for clearing it up & being strait forward about the numbers tested. It's honest information like that which is lacking from most "breeders" (if u wanna call them that) out today. Appreciate it brother & I'm excited to dig thru some of ur work.

heres some pics of a crazy pheno i found...durban dominant i would assume but i dont know much about durban. definately no sour in this pheno, its one of the most unique plants ive ever grown. has a sharp strong smell of herbal medicine and rosemary with hints of mint or cilantro. very floral in smell, ive never experianced this terpine before so i was surprised. im scared to smoke it i think its gonna rip my head off! this plant went 70+ days in soil.
i had 2 other females that leaned sour but they were in a corner of the tray where air circulation wasnt ideal and they suffered some heat stress and werent a good representation, both both were uniform in look and smell. heres pics of the durban dom pheno. GRS il try to save a sample for you to check out, its unique as hell. never seen or smelled anything like this plant before in cannabis. not what i would call a crowd favorite for people hooked on OGs, sours, and purps, but someone who likes uniques sativas should check out. |

fuller plant shot before trim, very leafy and darker green in color, the other ECSDxDurb phenos all yellowed extremely in late flower but this one kept its color even through flush.
