Showing all the lights. Four Blackstar-240UV with the 400w Diamond series from Advanced LED between them. Next is a cheap fixture my bro gave me then half the lights went out (not the PS). It still works well for veg. I added it today to put next to the 180w Extreme Flower from Advanced LED.


I added the broken light so that the 180 would cover the grape god that just went into flower and it would cover the chemdog scrog experiment for now. 3 gallon rootpots all coco and I just set up Blumats for them. I think I am going to end up with 5 gallon pots and use two blumats and have ~6 topped/trained plants to take up all the area. instead of the 3 gal.


The ggod mother from the single seed I ordered. It has great vigor; fast and beefy.


Close up of the grape god with the flash. Day 21 of flower. it was planted right before a heat wave in August and I thought it was a goner for sure. It slowly came back to life and as soon as I put it in the 5 gallon of all coco it started growing like crazy.

I'm using Canna Coco A/B + all other additives and my plants have never been healthier. I want to get 2 more 400w DS's and ditch the blackstars. They just don't have the intensity that the DS does. Without the broken fixture (that runs about 150w if i recall) the lights draw 1064w.

im interested in leds but you rarely get unbiased reviews online. how much do you normally yield off them compeared to hps?

I skipped over HID. It's really hard to say because I haven't been able to do a single uniform grow. Its been perpetual-ish with lots of light changes at different phases. The last time I had the 1064w all together though it did ~.8gpw @ 29oz, but the plants were in different stages and lighting and size. I cropped early and could have got a few more oz had I let them fill out. On top of that I had a blackstar-500 that crapped out on me and I had to wait a few weeks for Gotham to get the replacement to me. I opted for two 240's to lessen the heat load since it has no heat sink, just a thin sheet of metal. I put the t5 4x4 up in its absence.

The Grapegod is going to be my only plant and I'll have the setup stabilized in the future. I don't want a bunch of plants in different phase and size. Nice and uniform. Plus this Grapegod is a fast one so its pk week is off and would have to mix separate tanks for different speed plants. I have a Northern Lights seed that is suppose to be same height and flower period that I plan on introducing in the future, but for now just the Grapegod.

.8g per watt is pretty much the same as most peoples average with hid. so pretty good going. definately interested in the leds for the furture. thanks for showing man

First off, nice to see someone rockin the advanced led lights, second maybe you can answer a couple q's i got. How is the humidity from only runnin leds? How are your temps? I am going
to run the extreme flower 180w model next week an if it proves to be good get another 2 next cycle.

Humidity is between 40-60%, I keep a fan on low continuously, and when the lights come on I open the tent and/or crank up the fan so it wont overheat. I'm waiting to buy a temp/humidity controller for it. The lights can heat the air quickly if its sealed off for a few minutes, but it really depends on the weather right now. Now that its cooler in my apartment it takes longer for that to happen.

They can hold the bedroom temperature at ~80º but the tent can get in the 90's if its sealed and the fan on low. One of the reasons I want to get rid of the Blackstars is because the heat:light ratio is not as good as Advanced. There is more stretching and smaller buds in comparison. I hate not having more 400DS's because when I shuffle the plants around they get uneven light amounts throughout flower.

That tent is my primary heat source, but it will soon be too cold outside for them to heat my apartment. The last few days have required less and less venting. It is 8pm and the lights came on with the temp at 69º. I have my thermostat set to the low 60's and my heater should kick on any day now.

I have the fan blow into my 4x4 veg tent thats right next to it, and then it has a temperature/ fan speed control that blows air into my living room when it becomes too hot in there. Without a humidity controller I need airflow in both tents and thats the best way with the equipment I have. If I had the flower tent blowing directly into my living room it would stay much cooler since the air it draws is from the room would be much cooler. I plan on doing that when i get my controller.

the thing is i run 600 or 1000w hps i wouldnt even know where to start with what kind of led id need to replace those. are they cheaper to run compeared to hps? (with the same growth/yield)

so the temps get into the 90's with the tent closed....thats not really a great deal of lower heat temps. whats the deal with the"virtually no heat" mumbo jumbo....i have a 4x8 hydrohut too an eventually want.to fill it with 3 panels that cover 3x3. How.warm do the advanced leds feel with your hand under them?
