Damaged plants from Broad ,cyclamen,Russet Mites

Well I have to come clean they tricked me..
Since I started the mosaic virus thread and was dead set it was a virus I am now gonna man up and say that it has been these tiny
mites all along ..

They are so small that my 20X loupe didnt spot them and since I knew I had no bugs (that I could see) spider mites ,thrips etc
I was adamant it was a disease.

It has resurfaced now out of the blue again from bags of soil
not fox farms ,,but metro mix 360 suncoir from a greenhouse supply
in MI.

symptoms came on two weeks ago slowly and had just tore through my crop yet again ..

with a 30X loupe I was able to see it was indeed mites
I have hit my plants with floramite a week ago and avid
3 days ago and yet again today ..

The stuff has made a difference and my plants are making a recovery ,where as before I trashed and lost prized genetics
forever .

I will see it to full recovery and a victory this time

but would like to show fellow growers what this is all about ...

It's quite a terror once in your garden ..
I've had sleepless nites and depression over it .
Now I know I can win !!

since they are as hard as a virus to get rid of , coming back time after time
it can be easy to mistake it for such .
They are for all intents and purposes invisible..

This was a healthy firewalker clone that rooted for me in 4 days
look how she is a mere 5 days later

An ecsd cutting with fresh growth attacked and stunted by the toxic bites and
fluid they inject into the plant tissue..

Initial symptoms are the canoe of fan leafs
then the Blistering and pock marks of leaf tissue
and of course the twisting of leafs with abnormal
growth behavior..

soon after these signs within 5 days your plants will lose that healthy lush look
and take on a yellow or brownish hue where they are telling you they are sick..

Then the necrosis sets in along with many nutrient deficiencies of
all sorts in fan leafs ...
leaving them scorched and nute burned in appearance

Your plants have ceased to grow at this point

Thanks for putting up the pics for others. Depending on how much $$$ is at stake, a $400 investment in Pylon will ensure a triumphent victory.

Growth has exploded to the point where it was burning from making
contact with the T5 overhead over nite..

Messenger, huh? Isn't that Harpin protien? What are your impressions of it. It's a SAR inducer, right? Does it help?

I don't feel it works any better than plain ol aspirin to be honest from my personal experience

You can boost a plant's immune system or excite it rather
two ways ..

using an expensive harpin protein for 40 bucks
or a 3 dollar bottle of bayer with salicylic acid

both are the same...

I will say that this is why these gals have literally exploded with growth now that the mites are done poisoning my gals with their bites of toxic compounds..

I'd like to apologize for bustin so many balls in the mosaic virus thread
I'm sincerely sorry .....

Hope this thread helps to make things right by guiding a few in the right
direction and inspiring you to not kill your precious sick plants ....

just kill the damn bugs on them asap !! recovery is but a week away !
but use the hardcore miticides not the mamby pamby shit at hydro stores

Go ahead and cut off all damaged vegetative growth once you have eradicated the mites
it will only slow down your plant's recovery ...

here is my precious Obsoul33t AlienDawg cut I almost lost ...
her bottom has been trimmed and all new happy healthy growth has resumed on top ..
well not totally happy as she has been blasted with avid massively
but in a few days she will be reaching for the stars ...

TY AVID!!!
