How I make my wax

Alot of people have been asking question about how to get the goodness. Well, I will show you how I do it.


First, you will need bud or trim. Only use stuff that has a pleasant smell, and is not too old. the older the material, the darker the end result.
Also, this material needs to be DRY. Let it sit out for a few days if you need to.

Next, you will grind it all up into a food processor.



Make sure there are no buds or big pieces in your mix.

Make sure you have extra dishes if you are doing more than 1 run. You want to get the tane out as fast as possible, so 1 pyrex dish per tube of material...

You want to use good tane. I use Power 5x. You can also use vector, dodo, or colibri.

Double wrap the bottom of the tube with non-bleached coffee filters to prevent blowout. also, make sure your tube is no more that 1.5" inner diameter. it can be bigger, but it wont be as efficient.

I have my tube mounted to a stand to make running the tane easier. When I fill the tube, I lightly gravity pack the material.

Make sure you have hot water in the bottom pyrex. I put the stove on medium to simmer my water first.
Then run the 5 cans of tane trhough.

You will want to let it sit in the warm water bath untill the tane is done boiling off...


Then its into the food dehydrator at 95 degrees.

After about 20 min in there, i give the wax a good stir, i whip it for about 30 seconds until it thickens up.

Then it goes back into the dehydrator for another hour or so, and it looks like this

Next it gets whiped for another 30 seconds to thicken it up again, And the back into the dehydrator.

After another hour, it is almost done looking, but it still needs another 30-60 min... Dont whip it this time. Just put it back in the dehydrator.

Now that its been in the dehydrator for about 3-4 hours, its done!

All thats left to do is Pack it and dab it! From here, you can vac purge it, but I dont think its needed. This wax is clean!

nice set-up! could you post a pic of the cap you use at the top end to feed the gas into the tube? or at least some details about it?

Did you exclusively make "wax" or do you ever aim for shatter or sap? Just curious, looks like a stable product regardless.

do you find grinding it up makes a bigger difference in the end product or yield?

philthy - grinding it gives a higher yeild, and the potency remains the same. i have had it tested.

razor - the food dehydrator is at 95 degrees F. and when i dont whip it, tane gets trapped in, it doesnt wax up. it ends up needing vac purged, and it turns to shatter.

thanks for asking this, as this is something my friend and i havent been sure of when blasting buds, is it better to grind it or leave them as buds... apparently grind

if you dont grind, your quality will be the same, but with lower yields. there will be dry pockets in your tube, so not all the oils will get extracted. :cool:
