HC, working on some interesting projects atm, hoping to release Krom (G13 Pacific x OG Kush BX1) and Blue Dream v2 in December. Will release Pineapple D (a very pineapple smelling cross of Diesel and C99) in November. Restocks of OG13, Rotten Banana, Midnight Madness, Casey's Queen and Live Fire going in later this month with another restock at the end of the year.
Funny thing about the Krom. I made the original cross last year with Chrome's OG Kush BX1 and an s1 of G-13 Pacific. After the beans had dried and cured for a month I put them in cold storage. When I broke them out, about a third of the beans had sprouted tails!! Out of 12 seedlings, 11 were female. I did get lucky and got one male to use for the f2 cross. The OGK was true breeding, so I'm a bit baffeled with the m/f ratio. I'm thinking it may be environmental, because out of approx. 4 dozen plants I only got 8 males! This run I used a soil mix that contained about 25% recycled soil (baked at 350F for one hour to kill pests) and then fortified with worm castings, guano, kelp and peat moss.

Seed Buyers Beware! Don't waste your money on hype. If you have to buy multiple seed packs to find that "keeper", you're getting ripped off. Every female in a pack of seeds should be a keeper! We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package. |

Foomar, you will definately love the Casey's Queens, it's still some of my favorite smoke, and am still growing her out!! The smoke is fantastic, and so are the yields. I noticed that these ladies definately had the CJ stretch to them as well, with a nice flush they should turn some lovely colors as well
Much love man! SL

The two girls had to be topped as outgrowing the veg space after a slow start , now a week in flower they are more manageable but would have preferred to see the natural form.
The untopped male showed little stretch and is an untidy mess of a plant in comparison , little branching with huge nine blade fans , very thick stem. |

Overnight flush of thick white pistills two weeks in , manageable stretch no worse than casey , two bushy girls running as eight leaders bottom seeded for a fast F2 along the way , looks to be worth running a few from what i see so far.

Hey Foomar! Good looking plant! You're a couple weeks ahead of me. I won't flower mine until I know its clones are viable. My Casey's Queen is the best plant I have.
If you don't mind a question, how big do your rootballs get? I've transplanted 3 HOL plants at approx 18-20 inches high. They were rootbound in 2 1/2 gal containers. I'm not bragging, I'm kinda shocked. It's like there are more roots than plant. In soil, fed with water, molasses, and kelp. All are in veg with a DIY vertical cooltube 1000w. I transplanted into 18 gal bins for flower. I topped twice. Is this normal? Thanks. bg Have a nice day. bg |

I think the crazy roots come from Casey Jones. Running casey f2s now and just like the f1s they root like no other strain I've seen. Under t5s from seed in a 1 quart pot all 18 have roots out the bottom at Day 12. |

Thanks, Cool Moe. I have to adjust my transplant timing and container sizes. I was surprised to see signs of rootbound so soon. They're now in 18 gal bins for flower and tied to a vertical screen. Her clones are still standing tall after 2 weeks. This plant is 3 ft tall right now. If it stretches, I'll run out of premium light. But I won't flower until I'm sure those clones are going to make it.
I have a friend who grows for his dispensary. He vegges in 2 gal and flowers in 3 gal containers. That is what I was expecting. Silly me. Thanks for the info. Each batch of plants look better than the last ones. Got some midnight madness and jamaican lambsbread seedlings now. Can't wait. bg |
