Question on fans for filter/exhausting 7.5 cu ft cab
So I am planning a cab with inside dimensions of 24in wide x 18in deep x 24in tall for grow space with a utility space of 24x18x8 directly above.
I will be using 12x23w remote ballasted cfls for scrog flowering. I was going to use either axial PC fans or PCI slot fan for extraction but saw these 2 and was considering using one of them instead. https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.as...tname=electric https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.as...tname=electric I would appreciate any help/advice as to whether or not these would work as I have never grown micro before, and an 8" can fan from my old tent seems overkill for these purposes, even throttled down. Oh and I am looking at using a diy carbon filter, either net pot or a cd spindle/plastic mesh carbon filter, if that helps. |

Ok so now I can't find the grow I had in mind in my library of ICMAG bookmarks.
If anyone can point me back to the PC grow where the grower made a carbon filter based on a CD-R spindle to allow easy on/off for carbon replacement I would be very appreciative. All I can seem to remember is that he lamented having such a big utility space but had to because of his timer size. |

I don't know about the thread you're talking about, but there are plenty of ways to make carbon filters here https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40637

Eureka! I finally found it. Only took 2 hours.
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=80772 Dtoker's scrubber design is what I was thinking of. Also I just found cab in my garage with a 11dx15.5wx24h total inside area, so I shall be scaling down for my re-entry into the grow-world. |
