Sick young ladies.....I think
Hello,
This is my first post ever over here on ICmag, love the site. I need feedback on these pics of my sick plants. Here's my set up Seeds: Bogglegum Soil: FoxFarm Ocean forest potting soil, CoCo fiber. (one in each) Light: 400 Watt Hps Nuts: non added as of right now Age: 2 weeks and 2 days Started them under hps, due to past success. I think its over fert. from the mediums? |

It's kind of hard to tell, but how does the new growth look? Could be some nutrient burn but almost looks like nutrient deficiencies. What is their fertilization history? Have they ever been fed?

Thanks for the feedback, Jolly no ferts have been introduced (except the ones already in the soil). Can i flush them rather than re-potting? And if i do repot what should i put them in. Stitch, I am using Coco as an experiment.

coco wouldn't burn the plants and the ff soil wouldn't either and no other ferts added...
Well who knows

Well if you combine tthe two there is a chance you can burn them. Flushing might not help, I Would suggest transplanting them into a different conainer with a slightly different mix. Be sure to add more perlite, about 30-40 percent. |

Trey, are you sure about this?
I thought coco didn't contain any nutrients and would theoretically make your medium less strong if you added it...

Coco, if not harvested properly before it is packaged and sent out to the comsuners may contain some things you dont know about. If not properly washed it contains high amount of Potassium and Salts. Add these to what you already have in the mix and we could have some problems. Some coco products can have an abundance of Potassium, MAgnesium, and Sodium. These levels can vary from batch to batch.
As a suggesting, flush your coco numerous times before using it. This will help get the shit out that you dont want. |

If this is happening to more than 1 plant at the same time,
it could very well be the soil causing the problem, I can't see any other reason why this is happening when you've never used fertz... Good luck and I hope your ladies pull through. Awol. Last edited by Awol/CoA; 03-18-2006 at 05:12 AM.. |
