midnite madness and SD Freebs!

I got my 1st couple of orders in and i went with midnite madness.
also got the SD freebies with it.
very generous festivus

I popped 7 MM and 7 SD's
the SD were prouting tails in a few days, one of the seeds was split so i opened it up thinking it was an empty but it had an embryo in it so I tossed it in the water with the other 6.
and the cots sprouted in water!
its on a paper towel now trying to coax the tail into growing a wee bit more before planting.

I still haven't seen any of the MMs crack yet after 3 days
probably should have scuffed them before putting them in water.
so do the MMs have thick shells?
I really didn't research them very much on them.

Ya had some issues with thick shells on the original testers if I recall correctly... I scuff all beans, so I scuffed and germed at 92% with the MM... Can't remember the germ ratios for anyone who didn't scuff, but certainly sending good vibes your way bro!

Front and center by the way

Ya bro that was me, still have lots of SB f2s and x's and it was time to let my ~3 year old cut go. I'll find another here when she comes back into rotation. SB is some potent meds, but the MM beat her out in a few departments

A bit more heady, happiness to the high, and less leaf with my bertha cut... Faster veg all around. It was the density and potency that really reminded me of the bub, and some of the stonier MM phenos, very much so with a bit more leaf, couchlock, and just crazy dense, frost buckets...

Can't wait to see all the sweet shots with MM threads poppin' up here in the house!!

good luck gnome. I too took advantage of the great deal and got the MM and SD . I also read the comment on it replacing SB in someones garden . that is what persuaded me to go with the MM. not sure when I will run but will be watching your grow.

One of the many benefits of being on ICM is that you have direct contact here with breeders and seed makers. Originally, we thought we were working with the Madness OG cut, but found out later it wasn't madness but a strain nicknamed the "Sadness" cut, because they were sad it had gotten away from them. Just last week in the SD's Finest Seeds thread there was additional information that it was actually a sativa dom lavender pheno of Oregon Big Bud. When bred to OG Kush, this cross brings out the freak as well as the funk!

We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package.

^^That is very possible. According to Natgonnaworrie, he had the cut and described it as a lavender cross he named sadness because it wasn't the madness cut. I thought subrob had posted sadness was a pheno of Oregon Big Bud, but I can't seem to find the post.

Madness was a cross of oregon big bud
Sadness seems a blueberry cross of some sort to me..very tasty
Named it sadness not because there is anything wrong w it..i was just disappointed it wasnt madness which is what Nata had been told when he picked it up...
