I had never heard of this guy, Popcorn Sutton. This is probably how I'll spend my final years, only planting rather than make Moonshine.

This is a pretty cool video. We need more people with his spirit.

I saw that and it's a shame. It makes you wonder how many Growers do the same.

Hooch was his life,his blood.. being pretty old and worn out he knew going to prison wasn't a option. Hell I might have done the same thing if I was in his shoes. To be a jailed redneck at his age not going to happen..

If i'm 80 and find myself facing life in prison I would do the same..

I wouldn't be able to survive now i'm just to broken..

There's a few videos on Youtube that show how impossible it'd be for him to do time. There's a interview that Johnny Knoxville does with him. Among other things, he states that he needs candy around to ''Keep from a'twitchin.'' Knoxville asks if he's diabetic, he answers, ''I don't know...I've kept candy next to my bed for a lotta years.''

I would've done the same thing in his shoes. They were talking of giving him 18-24 months.
