GreenColombian - Absolutely one of the most elegant and beautiful plants. Nice work.

GreenColumbian - Please post more images. I would love to see this thread get as popular as possible. This strain is so beautiful. Most people would not grow it because the flowers look so thin. The way I see it, there is only one reason people would grow it: Because the high is sooo good.
I heard rumors that Punto Rojo was a contributor to the Haze strain. The best I ever grew was a great Haze individual that produced barely any quantity at all. I crossed it with Hawaiian Haze, then backcrossed to the mother in an attempt to get it to produce a minimal of buds. I'm looking through the daughters now. The reason I mention it is that swayzak described a rootbeer or cola aroma. The daughters I created picked up a menthol type of smell in growth. One of them turned rootbeer smell in the ripe flowers. I would love to try this strain someday. Please let Charlie Garcia know of some interest! Does anyone else grow this? |

I am subscribed to this thread as well. Some of the best smoking experiences I have ever had was of that exported to the USA called PR. The buds I had were very choice and much fatter than what you have growing, but at the time I was well connected. The piney smells that you describe ring an old bell.
Funny when I think of weed in Panama and Colombia to me is it one in the same. Micro climates effect the grow, but the genetics seem the same.

Unthing - I blather on extensively about the mother in this posting:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread....47#post5558647 I'm obsessed with it because it was the best I have ever grown. I think the menthol might be from the Hawaiian genetics. I don't want to go too far off topic. I am fascinated of reports of root beer aroma in Punto Rojo as I have heard of this aroma in Haze. Personally, I like the piney spicy flavors better. I want to hear more from the red point growers about morphological characteristics, images, and smoke reports. |

Probably more African influence in that weed.
