Osteoporosis relief ?
Hi Ladies...
![]() I feel kind of rude posting in this forum, being it's your own sanctuary, but I have a question which I'm sure will be best answered here by you lovely ladies as Osteoporosis effects mostly women and men often don't like to talk about this. Ok here goes... I'm a 26 year old male from Sydney in Australia, and have had Osteoporosis for 11 years. As I'm sure you could imagine, the pain is unbearable due to the fractures I have and due to past surgeries to pin and fuse brakes in my lower back and legs. I've mixed my own strains in the past and found White Widow X K2 to be a good pain reliever, but as time has gone by I've become immune to its medicinal properties. I've got some other mixes in the works to see what benefit they'll have, but they're still growing. So I'm hoping you ladies have some suggestion on strains that you've found useful to remedy strong pain. Ofcourse the price of some strains makes them un-obtainable to me, so if you can factor price in your suggestions I'll be greatly appreciative. Thank you ladies. And, may God bless all you mothers, mine is my Angel. Andrew. Last edited by Awol/CoA; 03-15-2006 at 09:10 AM.. |

hey, i lack a set a tits but i may be able to offer some assistance..
are you doin physical therapy? working out?
whats your diet like? i will do some research for ya, but, i dont wanna just yank info outta google that you are already aware of. how extensively have you researched into alternative/holistic treatments? i recently read, on another website, some news on relief for osteoperosis sufferers it was a natural thing, and herb, a mushroom, something.... if your interested in learnin more, let me know, glad to help out, offer links, resources etc ~ as far as the Cannabis-for-pain part goes, you may be best suited to continue to keep trying as many varieties as you can, while still keeping the specimen(s) you KNOW work best for you. indicas are what works for you (and most others) for pain, so stay with those BOG sour bubble is supposed to be good pain killing pot but this is just how he marketed it i have no idea what its like myself a search here for 'pain strains' may turn some thing up www.icmag.com/ic/search.php let me ask you a blunt question... does, A. smoking actually relieve pain for you? or does, B. smoking induce euphoria to the extent where pain is unnoticable? if the answer is 'A,' stick with indicas if the answer is 'B,' explore pure sativas thats the best advice i think i could give you. the pure (racy) sativas will keep your mind going on things other than your pain, same with some of the laughy, poppy indicas, you tend to 'forget' about your pain, and when the high wears off, youre back to square one.. these sativa plants i speak of really encourage deep thought as well, anything that can keep your mind off the pain is a good thing. i hope this sloppy post helps some. i do not suffer from osteoperosis that im aware of :P but i do suffer from a few other ailments and have people close to me in a similiar boat as you 9or worse) with the surgeries and the neverending battle. so i can definitely relate. and i care. alright bud, let me know if you want that info on the holistic thang, it really cant hurt id just hav to research to find it, and possibly other things that could help you in your battle to feel well again. my prayers are with you and i hope you're feeling good be well Last edited by CaptainJack; 03-15-2006 at 09:33 AM.. |

is walking, but that's down to 30min a day because my ankles and knees crack a lot, the pain is to much if I try any longer. My diet consists of; 1.5ltr of Milk daily, 800mg Calcium supplement, Vitamin D, Fish (mostly salmon), Plenty of red meat and water. I try to stay away from soft drinks, alcohol and fast/junk food as I've got high blood pressure aswell. Quote:
but I'm more than willing to try alternatives, so if you can help out there that would be fantastic. Quote:
unable to work, the price of those makes it near on impossible for me to obtain them. As you suggest, I'll keep hold of those I know work and try and find a few others and rotate from strain to strain to lower my immunity to them. Quote:
also explains why White Widow and crosses of it work best for me. Quote:
You've been of great help, you're a champ mate. I'll never win the war, but I may win a few extra battles now. Take care.

Hey, Try getting in touch with 1tokeOverLine, he suffers from many ailments, he knows of strains that could prove beneficial for you. He recommended trainwreck for back pain, not sure who the breeder is.
The eureka flag eh, interesting. CaptJack is a pretty cool mofo. Man I see you around lending more hands to peeps, lots of good karma for you bro. Good luck Awol. Ever try exercising in a pool, could help build muscle tissue without the pressure of your full body weight on your legs.

PS: trainwreck S1 beans are offered by JoJorizo ... (I think).. I always just called him JoJo...
..or ...at least they WERE available at some point... he might be out of stock... I sure don't know at all. Perhaps a PM to him would be in order...if you can find him. If not, there are lots of mums out there...clones around and such as that... ![]() HB |

Please read the thread i posted in submissions called "Educating the Educated" part of it is about the recent discovery that the CB2 receptor ( the second receptor in the brain that accepts cannabinoids) is related to bone density regulation. Scientists ar Bonn University have been able to isolate a cannabinoid that bonds specifically to this receptor and noticed a diminish in bone loss. There is a specific cannabinoid that will help you. Naturally they did not release any information about which cannabinoid it is.
