Only found granules locally, that stuff is not pleasant to try and grind up. Hope to find powder, another 7 grams of oil to cook with this week.

I used granules last time i did some baking, and they melted right in to my oil once they heated up and got stirred. I didn't think of grinding them up.

Huh, I avoided Lecithen as I thought it would clump up in granule form, thanks, gonna toss it in and give it a shot.

I have used it with success when making cannacaps, but I can't see the benefit of mixing it into the budder. For those that have done it, what improvements come from adding lecithin to the budder?

After reading as much as I could find online (somewhat contradictory information), I bought some lecithin granules and used them in a batch of coconut oil. I made about a cup of oil and stirred/melted in the granules by sight. Maybe I'll actually measure next time.
![]() I personally didn't notice a difference in expected strength, or faster onset of the high, as I had read about. The advantage I did notice was that I was able to pack much more of the oil into a batch of cookies than the recipe called for, and they were still solid. I reckon that's the emulsifying property at work. There are a few of us that would really like more information about making edibles with Lecithin, if anyone out there has some more good info. |

If you add lecithin (liquid, probably) to an ISO or BHO wash, after the filter but before the purge, could you smoke the resulting oil?

From my experience with capsules, adding lecithin to the pill mix makes the pill kick in faster and hit harder with a shorter duration. Adding beeswax to the mix gives it a longer duration but it takes longer to start working. You don't need either if you want to smoke or vaporize a butane or iso extraction.

I was just wondering if it would be possible to get the extra potency that lecithin supposedly provides by smoking, not just eating, it. Lecithin is a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and helps speed the delivery of chemicals across the blood/brain barrier. I guess my question is: can you take advantage of the boost that lecithin provides in any way other then ingesting it?
