it is actually best to do p2p exchanges versus working in collectives to be honest.
right around election time is NOT the time to play with collective jobs as obama did A TON of raids and has been in the news lately talking exactly about that. p2p is exactly what our med rights are built for and allow barter/trade/donation for effort/costs etc. if you want to get involved with an actual business, a delivery service is PERFECT as there is no storefront etc to deal with. CASH ONLY donations is recommended always or barter etc.

Take some bomb herb that you grew to a real greenhouse or nursery and smoke them out, then mention you'd like a real job when everyone is all fucked up. Hopefully they remember who you are the next monday when you show up though.
Oh wait... You said cannabis industry and I was talking about a real job. |

As a way in it is not the worst idea to be a "Share-cropper" aka slave. Hard to trust new people in one;s life though.
But, with someone else's property, room or garage, take a percentage (say 50%, as a figure), and keep your costs down if necessary. Hopefully, One is Honest, AND gets their half, and can then decide if One wants to continue with said Partner, or go out on One;s own and set up an Indoor growing situation. Going it alone is a challenge, costs are not inconsiderable. But, As SUPES says above, working for or even WITH others can be daunting. It can also be liberating, if there is trust. The Market is almost completely merciless these days, try to set up alliances as soon as possible. Maybe share your best strain/Cut if that applies. And NOT expect anything back initially. THAT always works. Good Luck.

in colorado:
get colorado id get mmj doctor visit get red card from state sign up 5 patients to grow for (agree on pricing and minimum quanitity purchases like ozs per month and prices) elevated plant counts for edibles or hash help grow and sell ur product p2p style to ur 5 patients and other legal patients in CO no partners, start small and manageable if u cant just jump right in, grow for yourself primarily, if u dont want to smoke it you cant expect ur patients to.... simple ethics. working for other people is for the birds imho. even birds dont work for other people.... or other birds lol if u want to work for someone else here's my steps, in CO get colorado id get mmj industry worker badge (irs background check, no felonies, other rules, basically the same check u would get if u were working in a casino or race track, a hardcore ass background check) start applying for jobs at dispensaries, telling them u already have ur industry worker badge makes u instantly hireable. it cost 75 dollars and many places will reimburse u. you can of course just apply at dipsensaries and then get ur badge after u are hired, i just always figured that if they had an equal choice between two job seekers and one already has the badge, thy are the better choice
