What % of yield is he entitled to?

hello,

I am planning a grow operation with a an older guy and poissibly his son, who is a couple years younger than me and is somewhat a friend of mine. we want to do it on some property I own which is only really accessible with a gate key which I will be the sole holder of. Its 100 acres on a steep grade of one side of a mountain, dense foliage and no roads except the 1 i have access too. I am pretty new to growing, but not to weed, and this (old) guy has spent much time in the carribean and such and is a stoner from back in its heyday, so he has a lot of first hand know how, has grown over at least 15 seasons outdoors in this area, but has never grown inside. Pretty much i know a lot about growing, but it's the book smarts and i've only done one semi sucessful grow indoors, i know nothing about the first hand outdoor know-how. I wanna do at least one season with him becasue i know I can learn a lot of stuff, and i want to make it clear to you all the biggest thing he brings to the table is his knowledge and confidence and a little ingenuity (hes told me stories about pullies in trees and waterbeds burried under a couple inches of dirt with 400ft lines running from it and a drip emiter)

what all should I be asking from him? let me know what all i left out or did not consider, but I was thinking if he put in an equal seed stock, equal monetary contribution for supplies, equal labor, full transportation for the whole op (the location is 1 hour away) he could take 40% of the yield (for him and his son). If he were to use his place to start the plants for a couple weeks and sex them in a closet before taking them up to be planted i was thinking he could get up to 50% of the yield. For the land and accessibility and a place to cure the pot and potentially store the excess i was thinking 60% Fair? Comments? Questions? of course i have my labor, 400 femmed bagseed seeds and plenty of shit leftover from my indo grow and whatnot which i'll be putting to the project as well as well as a consistent cash inflow, which at the moment he does not have.

Also I'm more of the mindset that if addtl people aren't bringing something significant to the table then we don't need any more people to split the yield with (and privately i don't need to worry about any more potential rippers). I want to KISS and i was thinking we could start around 100-200 plants of about 10 different varieties and that the two of us could yield alright. he is more of the mindset a couple more peple would be good to really get every1 a nice harvest to smoke on for the rest of the year and that with their addtl labor we would all yield more than just the two of us could harvest alone. thoughts? comments? criticisms? confessions of murder? let me know!

best advise you'll ever get!!!!!! tell him/them your scrapping the whole idea!! do it yourself !! its your property, labor, cash so ya dont need them. and no-one should know your grow business. any help and knowledge and tricks you need can be sought here at icmag from your ONLY real growing friends (only thing we want in return is pic's and smoke reports..lol)

well confessions of murder...yes....once I did a very similar thing like you, with an older fellow. After we harvested and got done trimming I choked him to death with the biggest cola there. I suggest you do the same.....lol only kidding.

Yea though it sounds reasonable I would say though that if he put in an equal seed stock, equal monetary contribution for supplies, equal labor, full transportation for the whole op and all i'd give him 45% of the yield but thats just me.

Or you can go with REGICIDEs idea which I personally like the best, but if you must have these people involved then go for it. It is always better when noone but yourself knows.

Hey Bro,growin outdoors is simple and risky at the same time.I would not do what youre thinking no matter what.its yer property and you are the sole one to have accsess,so if anything ever happened God forbid(snitching, ripping, mothe r nature, what have you)you are gonna be the one to lose out or to get charged, possibly lose yer land, etc etc. There are enough people with plenty of knowledge and willingness to help you through threads PM's or whatever,to give you more than enough know how to get the job done sweetly, lol. Its just too much to risk something like that with Friends/semi friends.I would never grow with anyone but family.By all means grow, but do it on yer own, tell yer friend that youre Wife/Girlfriend doesnt want you to do it(to kinda get the ball rollin towards him thinkin you arent gonna grow) and dont grow in any spot you already talked over with him and dont grow more than a couple plants in one area.Spread them out,100 acres is great to spread them thin and not be found.Just be careful and go with yer gut.But ask and you will get any and more info than you will ever need here at IC .Peace and stay safe,FMD

dmcheatw take the advice the others have posted above. Do it yourself. It is your and property that is on the line here not anyone else's. I know from experience that everybody are great freinds and would never rob or steal from you when things are getting started. Then the little green monster greed sets in and everything can go to hell.

It sounds to me that you really don't know these people to well anyways. I would not trust anyone with my property or grow. Do what you think is best for you , but liwsten to these guys they have been there and done that and partners don't always work.

just my 2 cents

I have to agree here. I would tell the guy to fuck off. Buy yourself some beans and do it yourself. Many books out there to help with info youdont know or you can always ask for advice on IC. point is if all this fuxker can offer is knowledge then tell him to move on. You can get more here for free.

I don't see why you should let others into the loop at all, unless absolutely necessary. You are putting the most on the line because it is your property. One slip up and you will never be able to grow there again because multiple people will know where it is.

more than 100 plants and your grow becomes a federal matter.

I don't think the knowlege this guy brings to the table is worth the additional risk. You can get all the knowlege and advice you need from this and other websites.

What if someone decides their share is not fair and they screw eveyone else? Of course now I bet you *have* to let them in on it since you brought it up with them.

i agree with ^ Underground Man, it's too late to back out now cause they know/suspect you'll pull a fast one, leave this season to show them you arent growing then start next year, it all depends on trust.....no one !
