hi guys,

wondering if these are the supplier, or they have access to the same parts as the HGL units???

here's a link, they look awful similar, I do know the HGL is in second gen, from info on there website, that they had people copying them.. wondering if there the same thing, only cheaper?

I'm starting to think, cutting out the middle man, makes things cheaper to everyone.. well the consumer.

yes they are and hgl doesn't have some secret anything built into her lights. that woman is nuts but I don't need to get that debate going on this forum.

hgl wrote about companies copying her lights and that would be TRUE if what she really means is that other manufacturers BUY LIGHTS from the same manufacturer so if that is "copying/stealing" then o.k. LOL

yeah the difference is you can get them CHEAPER and also, contact them as a "grow light site" and ask about hgl and I bet they will be more than happy to let you know that they supply that site AND could happily supply YOUR site as well with the same lights.

They are exactly the same BUT as far as price, led grow light companies are not a "non profit" organization so of course they are out to make a profit.

One thing that can be different however IS the spectrums and the leds they use. HGL can choose reds/blues/greens/oranges/whites etc so they can claim being "unique" but as far as other companies copying or stealing is complete b.s.

Most companies use the same manufactures FROM china except for the ones actually built here in the states etc so aside from price and spectrum they ARE the same depending on which led company they buy them from.

yeah, I'm wanting to get more info and look around, as I would think they use the same LED, as the cluster is the same, but being as China I'm sure has many many factories even for in this case, LED growing lights, they might differ, or HGL might might request different 'led clusters' to be made to specific instruction ( higher bin.. certain brand.. spectrum.. .... )

they look like the same spectrum though, glancing at it..

I do know they did re-design there casing, as to differ from the 'copy-cats' as stated on there website. but if these are basically the same at 1/3 the cost.. I'm all for that

so I emailed that company, and here's what they had to say... I asked them if they supply HGL ( a US company ) :

"Our factory used to be the OEM manufacturer of HYDRO GROW LED, but now they choose other factory because cheaper price. However, we believe our LED Grow Light is the best in the market, and now the product is improved than before, so I can say even better than HYDRO GROW LED now. "


only thing is, I hate red, and I hate changing something when it's alot of hassle, for little return.. but I'm going to ask then now, what has changed to make them 'better'
