I just tried logging in at vc's new cw site and got re-directed to a thread at PG something about security breach...mt advice,don't log on until they square that away.

I wouldn't be logging into any site that is a spinoff, re-read that, a ripoff of CW or OG. Besides the fact that it is being run by someone affilated with PG.

The site was taken down for security reasons in order to make it completely safe. The site was recording IP's for a 15 minute period of time, after which it would erase them. This is a fault of vbulletin's software (which had the no-log-ip's feature implemented). They are currently working on making sure that IP's aren't recorded at all. The site will be back up when they sort it out. Keep in mind that CW 2.0 is currently in beta, and will be until they get all the bugs worked out, and the site is being served on its permanent server in the Netherlands.

As far as being a "ripoff", while the site itself was owned by RC, the community that made it what it is is not. RC ain't around and likely will never have any future use for CW, or interest in bringing it back. However the CW community is still around. And we certainly have use for a CW grow forum.

If one is seriously worried about security, I encourage them to wait until CW 2.0 moves to the permanent server and is found to be stable and secure before they visit or take part in the site.

And as far as visioncreator (who's started the CW 2.0 site) being affiliated with PG is concerned, I don't think that's true, and even if it was... whatever.

Hey Deltanugz,

Thanks for the updated info. We hope that VC calms the waters soon and the beta is successfully completed, easing the security concerns of all, as CW is sorely missed.

I'm not throwing stones by any means, don't know the man but do know he is affiliated with pg...I guess your definition of affiliated and mine differ...I have no problem with that...I know of nicks that have been registered here, OG, and on pg that are years old and under 40 posts...I've spent a few hours modding and am all to familiar with the games...peace from the swamp

I'm just going to wait and watch to see how this new site develops. I'm not going to start assuming that every single new cannabis site out there is a DEA coverup or is being foxed down by the feds.

Anyway, let's hope the webmasters of the new site resolve their security issues as fast as possible...

I don't think that the DEA makes a big difference between old cannabis sites and new ones.
