I´ve just found this guy today. I find him brilliant.
Any of you good old Americans have seen this gentleman live?

Wow, talk about a flash from the past. I'm too young to have seen Lenny Bruce live, but my folks did, they had all the albums AND they lived to talk about it.

I am also too young to have seen him, but I know he was a major influence upon George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Bill Hicks, just to name a few. The genre of political humor was almost invented by Bruce. Dustin Hoffman played him in the movie Lenny; it is a very good movie, I highly recommend it.

Never saw him, I was a high school senior when he died, that I remember. He was big in the 50's and early 60's.

There's a Lenny Bruce biography (I think it's called 'ladies and gentleman... Lenny Bruce' or something close) that I found pretty fascinating - really brought to light all the shit he went through (self-inflicted as well as legal) since I wasn't old enough to remember that era and how revolutionary his stuff was at the time.
