Strain: ‘Blanco Berry Kush’ - (White Kush x Blackberry Pie) “Test Strain” for Gage Green.

Growing Method: Indoor Passive Hydro’ using pot culture/drain to waste method grown out in a Coco & perlite mix, CANNA nutes/additives & medium. x3 600w HPS lighting in bloom and x2 300w CFL (blue) in veg.

Growth/Yeild: Easy to maintain, works great on a lighter nutrient schedule but will take up more in bloom and is a fun plant to grow out. Grows at a quick pace through veg and is a hardy variety needing very little attention, and loves topping/training methods and responds best to the ‘lollipop’ technique. Left untopped there is very little branching, just a central main bud and a crown of smaller flowers making these perfect candidates for SOG grows as they hold themselves up very well with tough thick stems. Topped/trained they’ll produce more branches and they fill out mostly round the tops too (needing extra staking!!), creating long sticky sweet colas and nice tightly dense flowers. The stretch once flowering is induced is x2 and the plants will easy double their vegged to size.
The only difference I noticed in phenos really, is in their overall aromas & colour as they all carry the same stretch and nute tolerance. Resin production starts early and purple hues show early too even in warmer temperatures. Most phenos are ripe in 8 weeks, while some will go to 9 weeks till fully ready. A good yielder too untopped it’s a solid 1-1.5 OZ dried, and with more training you are looking at 3-5 OZ per plant dry easy.



Bag Appeal: Crystal coated nuggets of green and purple gems, great calyx to leaf ratio and buds to show off to your friends with. Instantly eye catching and have a puffy/sponge texture when pressed.
Bud/Nug Density: Tight and dense buds.

Aroma: The 3 phenos all carried subtle differences in smells…
‘P#1’ – Musky berries with an earthy fruity tone, sleight hint of ground coffee beans. Light smelling buds.
‘P#4’ - Dark coffee bean, with a heavy spices & herb smoothness. Earthy“grape” and a dank, musky hash undertone. And again carries a very light aroma.
‘P#5’ – Smooth ground coffee beans with a unique berry bubble gum texture, a strange combination that somehow works. Not as light as the others though and carries a more pungent aroma.

Taste: The 3 phenos also all carried subtle differences in flavours too…
‘P#1’ – Light, smooth earthy berries and tarts mix. Softly fruity with a subtle coffee kush undertone on the exhale.
‘P#4’ – Earthy kush spice & herbs with a dom’ coffee flavour with an earthy “grape” fruit/tart hash flavour lingering in the background.
‘P#5’ – At first a strong fruity feel, that reminds me of blackcurrent flavoured bubble gum, followed by a softening coffee flavour on the exhale. Quite intense, and more complex and unique compared to the others.
Harsh/Smoothness: Smooth smoke, very little cough factor and leaves a coating on the inside of the mouth in a dank combo of dark coffee/fruits/tart flavours.

Potency/High: Not an overly strong hitter but more of a mellowed out “Blanket” feel. And also has a nice warm relaxed effect and a comfortable buzzed ride along. High lasts around a half hour to an hour depending on user tolerance.

Overall Satisfaction: This one creeps up and maintains a nice balanced feel and works best in the day as you can still function without confusion.

Couchlock/Uplifting: 50/50 mix of head & body making for a more chilled out and mellow effect.
Medicinal benefits: Anxiety & depression and a great toke for leaving early stress of the day behind. Very good appetite enhancer too as I was muching out after each session without fail.

Overall score: 8.0 ~ A great, solid all rounder but if your after a more heavy hitting effect then this wont be to your taste. It is the most mellow high of any of Gage’s line that I’ve tried so far and a very unique flavour too, that you have to try to really understand. But compared to others in the GGG collection this one hasn’t impressed me as much as say – ‘Sun Maiden’ & ‘Bright Moments’ did.
