hi everyone, i just bought a cheap knockoff of the space case pollen press off of ebay. I have quite a bit of kif built up in my grinder so i can't wait till it finally arrives in the mail, but i'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how best to use it.

Obviously i know im supposed to put the kif between the two pins and screw them together, and it says to leave it pressed overnight so it can ferment, but should i do anything else like heat it up in the oven or anything? i've read about other methods of making hash and most of them say to heat it up so i guess i should do that right? and is it possible to give it too much pressure, or should i just screw it together as tight as i possibly can? also, should i add any moisture to the kif before pressing it? cuz this kif has been building up in the bottom of my grinder for the last few weeks and it's all bone dry

does anyone else have any experience with this type of hash press? did you like it? what was the hash like? did it turn out all brown on the outside like traditional hash, or was it still the regular yellowish white color of kif?

Is it a small rectangal press,with 4 screws?
There are several popular ways of Bonding,the press sounds like the ticket.I press mine by hand,if the trics are really dry use a press or fold it into a piece of wrap and seal place in your shoe and there you go.Keep it in ther as long as needed.The heat in your shoe also the pressure will bond your trics.
Dont worry about too much pressure,the more the better as all the trics have wee heads which burst helping them to stick together.

i had purchased a pollen press,
it come in one piece, looks like a large battery, u can un-screw both sides,
and place product on the inside, also it came with 2 black (solid rods)

from what i gather u place ur kif between the two black rods, place on inside of shaft,
screw on both sides, thus when u screw it closed, ur applying pressure.

if its the same one,
i say throw it in the bin and use ur hands.

after wasting so much kif on this useless tool i finally caught on it was slipping down the sides of the rod.

and when i screwed closed all it did was push it down the sides and wasted 40%
ugggghhh.......

ur hands are your best tool for the job.
place in the centure of ur hand (kif)
and take ur other thumb and start to apply pressure.
after 5-10 ull see it goes like putty...

work into desired shape and your done.

no need for a modern tool.

dont heat in oven that will warp the metal traping those goodies inside. Use your hand. Hold it in there for 30m to 1 hour. They key to getting a solid piece of good shit is to use pure keif. Too much plant material will prevent the keif from froming into a nice solid disk.

damn that really sucks cuz u had the same kind of press as me, i hope mine isn't that shitty. it's basically like a hollow cylinder with two cyclinders inside and you put the kief between the two inner cylinders then apply pressure by screwing the lid shut. was yours a real space case or one of those cheap knockoffs? hopefully they aren't all like that.

mine just has greenleaf pollen press on the top.
i say if its the same bin it.

aint worth the thc, or the time.

mine was $25-30 and its the same ill take a pic and get it up on here. Mine has no markings at all.

mine works great. I have never had stuff go on the sides mine fits pretty snug though I think its a real space case one.

ok thanks glasspackedbowl that's good to hear, hopefully mine will be like yours and not have that problem of kif falling down the sides. the little kif chamber on the bottom of my grinder is like 3/4ths of the way full right now so i keep getting tempted to smoke it but im tryin to hold out and save all of it until i get my press.

does the end product turn out all brown on the outside looking like hash, or does it just look like a bunch of kif pushed together really tight and still the same color of kif?
