Casey Jones F3

There doesn't seem to be too many threads about the Casey F3-s. I've found it to be a great trichome producer so far. I'm only 30 days in too. I'm only under 70W of LED so I'm not gonna bring home huge yields but I could see this producing quite well under some big boys.

2 phenotypes I found. Their size difference seems to be because of different container sizes but overall they are pretty similar in terms of internode length and bud structure. I'm sure time will tell how different they really are. The bigger one seems to be a little better in terms of trichome production but both are great really.

this is on day 27 of 12/12

looks nice and frosty.... the method you use to top/training looks similar to the method called "main-lining"

Nice! I love the colors in led pics.

The f3's came from f2's of Head's CJ, thanks to Old Pink. OP stress tested and selected for stability. Thai leaning phenos have more of the recessive hermie trait that can surface with a minimum of stress. You shouldn't have any problems if you're running a well dialed in setup.

TY for this thread D!

We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package.

Thanks!

I really meant to scrog them but when the time came I was super busy and didn't manage to do it. I then decided to take the next best route with supercropping and some LST. Next round will be scrogged though, I already have the screens etc.

Not even a sign of hermies as of yet. The only thing I'm really concerned about is how mold/bud rot resistant these plants are. I used to run a 250W HPS which brought temps up to 27-29'C which therefore brought the RH to about 50% which is pretty much the sweet spot but now when running LED in the same space I'm sitting at 70-80% RH and 22-23'C temps. No issues yet but later in flowering it might pose some serious problems. I suppose the thai side of things should be pretty mold resistant since it comes from a hot and humid climate?

Looking really nice, I love Casey Jones. Which LED unit are you using?

It's the EVO90.

A while ago a spanish grower called mr. X showed some very impressive results using 5 of these lamps so I thought I would give it a go despite the big initial investment. I'm sure his numbers were a little over-estimated but he shouted some big ones, close to 2g/W if I remember correctly.

This is my first full run with the lamp so let's see. Initial goal was at least 1g/W, would be very disappointed with anything below 0,8g/W. Next run will be scrogged and hopefully with a more level canopy. You can check the link in my sig if you want to see how it goes.

You shouldn't chance it... go out and get a cheap dehumidifier.

^^^^ Exactly! Casey Jones will put up huge, dense buds. While I have never had any mold issues with CJ, with buds that big, why take the chance?

I think I have seen pics of Mr. X's grow. If its the thread I am thinking about it was a pretty nice grow. I am not sure about 2 g/W but from the looks of your plants you should easily hit the 1 g/W mark. I look forward to seeing the rest of your grow.
